I live in the East 60s but grew up in East Islip and the wedding will be out on LI. It would be nice to have an NYC get together.

KathleenG, I used to live in downtown Brooklyn. I lived in Brooklyn heights for 3 years while in law school adn then moved to cobble hill. I love that area!
I live in Cobble Hill. I love it!!!! I actually fell in love with this area after going to college here!!

I live in Washington Heights/Hudson Heights area. Sometimes it feels as though planning a wedding from Manhattan is like planning a wedding from out of state.
Ditto, in comparison to the price for many Manhattan weddings, the price out on LI is more reasonable.

I loved brooklyn- the UWS is a lot like the it. Very neighborhoody and pretty.
I would definitley be up for a GTG.

I live in Manhattan... Upper east. I used to live on the upper west for 5 years before moving in with my fiance. I like the UWS side better but my office is 12 blocks from me now so it is much better!
He is from LI and I am from Florida- we're getting married on LI and we are out there all the time. It was such a pain before we brought our car into the city- now it's easier but it's still a lot of schlepping just to do little wedding stuff. But I guess it's better than schlepping to Florida for everything!
