hey girls! just wondering how many of u 08ers have figured out where u and FH are going to live after the wedding!! im hoping to kno at least a year before so we can start planning and registering for stuff....we cant afford a house right now (at least not in NY anyway!) on top of all the $$$$ for the wedding, so we were thinkin about condos....but then FH's parents decided to sell their house in PA so we're thinkin bout buying a 2family in LI with them...any1 go through this? suggestions? where are u all going to live?
PS- sorry if this topic has been posted already...im not sure if it has...lol

well we know we want to live on LI, its looking like nassau. since FH works in Nassau closer to queens and I now work out in Elmhurst.. we don't want a long commute.
But we are def saving for a house.

like tildes parents mine are making us an apt in their new house so that we have a place to live since we cant afford to buy or rent something just yet with paying for the wedding. But we had the 'talk' friday night about what the plan it.. and he really wants to buy a house (were 21 and cant afford to do this) but its what he wants.. so we will live in the apt for the year untill the wedding then a start looking right after the wedding for something.. either a condo or a house since the NYPD will help us get a mortage so.. hopefully a year or so after the wedding we will be able to buy soemthing.. sorry for the book!

we'll either wind up on LI or in Westchester, I think. We'll have to be close to the city, b/c I'm sure FH will probably get a job there...

We just bought a house in Massapequa, i really love the area. Schools are very good from what i hear from the neighbors. Its a nice quiet town and i feel like a desperate housewife sometimes...i am very nosey lol i can tell u so much about my neighbors...im such a spy

Honestly i found that condo's in nassau were just as expensive as a house. Co-ops are cheaper but they are different then condo's
What towns are u looking for Condo's??

We're dying to buy a house!! We've been in our apt. for 2 yrs and we're just ready to get out. But I don't think that's going to happen until about a year after the wedding. My fave sight, besides LI-dub of course, is www.MLSLI.com. I'm obsessed... I go on a look at houses and just daydream........

FH's grandma has a house with an apartment, so hopefully we'll end up there.
