Any one have experience with Home Depot Installers?

Any one have experience with Home Depot Installers?

For carpeting specifically. I know they sub the work out...but I do not know anyone who has used them before.

I used them for my carpet-- they did a good job.

I also used them for carpet. Just be aware they usually contract out side help for various jobs. My FI grilled them incase they messed it up who was actually held responsible, the contractors doing the work or homedepot. We had two young guys come and I was a little nervous because one was teaching the other, but at the end, they did a good job.

We used them for carpet in our home & we were happy with them. All of their installers are thouroughly screened & carry their own workers compensation & liablity insurance & they're all drug tested. It doesn't mean that they'll do a good job but it does offer some proctection.

They installed our bedroom carpet, and while we were happy with the end result, there were a few annoying bumps in the road along the way. This was almost 2 years ago, so I don't remember specifics, but I DO remember the aggravation.

I used to work at HD for four years, which store are you using? They do an extensive check on any company they subcontract to, and they have more screw ups and complaints on the quality of their merchandise than on the workmanship. They back their install 100% and they do a good job.

I need to correct myself. I just asked Patrick what the problem was with our carpet, and he said it was the warehouse, not the installation.
