I was wondering if anyone was using a wedding planner? If yes What exactly do they do? I mean I watch all these shows and it seems all they do is help with the dress and details, all things I can do my self..... Is it less stressful with one around? And are they affordable!

Are they reasonably priced? And where do I find one?

Re: Any one using wedding planners?
I highly recommend Rosalie from Expressions who is a vendor on LIW
After meeting with her, I had chills. She also has amazing reviews on the Bride Helping Brides thread if you want to look some info up.
OMG, hiring a wedding planner is the best decision i ever made. I hired Francesca from Dazzling affairs to do the entire wedding beginning to end. I just graduated from med school and i'm about to move to Michigan, so i cant imagine doing the planning alone. Idefinitely reccommend it. Francesca is amazing. I also checked out Rosalie, who was better for my budget but i just like Francesca better. Hiring a wedding planner has made wedding planning a more pleasurable experience. She sets up and attends all appointments. She negotiates contracts, attend RD, and is there all day for the wedding. Once i move she will take care of everything here for me.

Oh yeah, and vendors tend to throw in extra stuff since they know her. So although wedding planners dont come cheap, they can save you a significant amount of money.

I'm not having one although I must admit there have definitely been times throughout this process that I wish I would have splurged and gotten one. I really like the idea of a DOC too

Re: Any one using wedding planners?
I am not - although somedays I really want to reconsider ... but my mom and sister will be on top of everything - and they LOVE to do that - so it all works out!
