Any Opinions on Flowers, DJ and Photographer

I just booked my reception for June 4, 2004 at CrestHollow, I am now ready for other important stuff, I am choosing between

DJ- New York's Ulitimate Entertainment and Entertainment tonight

Photo- Patken, Fine Art and North Shore Studio

Flowers- Flowers by Brian, Pedastals and fleurs de florissma,

Any suggestions on these?

I am a Patken bride and I am so excited. I loved all the albums i saw and my package is perfect for me. I actually have included a 20x20 which was something i never thought of having.

Congrats & welcome!
I don't know anything about ultimate entertainment or entertainment tonight sorry.
But I know alot of girls on the site have said good thing about flowers by brian. I would also suggest checking out flower michele, I think they are really attentive and helpful.
I also think a bunch of girls on the site booked with Patken not sure who though.
Do a search on the vendors your looking at you'll probably find a lot of opions on them.

Also, for video check out wild rose, they are really great.

Do you find that having a videographer that isnt working with your photographer not good, like they will be stepping over each others feet all night?

I think they were very reasonable and they know their stuff. They gave us a price and FI negotiated and told them what we were getting offered from another photographer. The owner got his black book that had EVERY photographers price list and he sat and negotiated with us.

I told him what i wanted and he gave it to me and with a few extra's. I am so glad I booked Patken.

also i booked video from a different company and i am sure no one is going to step on anyone's toes.

these guys are all professional and will work together not to get in anyones way

Kaylasparents, don't worry about using a videographer and a photographer that aren't from the same company... now a days, that's what a lot of people do... a lot of us went with a photographer, that pretty much ONLY did photography, to ensure good work, same for our videographers!

I am using Cassarino for photo
Bellarino for video

If you are concerned about them not working for the same company... there are tons of brides here who used Imagine Studios, who do both video and photo, and I must say those brides have BEAUTIFUL photos.. if I didn't have a photographer already, I'd strongly be considering Imagine!

I don't know, I think maybe just make sure you look at both a company's photographs and video, you may love the way the photographer frames his/her shots but you may hate the way videographer frams his/her shots. In other words just b/c you love the way they edit their videos doesn't mean you'll love the style of their pictures then again the company may be great at both things.

Hi there- I am getting married at Crest Hollow too. I looked NY's Ultimate Entertainment- their DJ seemed great. We wound up going with a band though. My best friend and brother work at Entertainment Tonight. I think they are good but it depends on the MC you get.
I am also deciding between Pedestals and Florissima. I saw Florissima at a show last night and their stuff was GREAT. Good luck- let me know what you decide.

When are you getting married? So either way I shouldn't go wrng with the DJ right? I went today to florissma and the price seemed reasonable but I wasn't thrilled with the lady Arlene that I dealt with, I heard there work was nice though and same thing about pedastals so I have to decide once I see them, thanks for the input!

I'm getting married on Nov. 8th. I think you will be fine with either DJ but make appointments and ask to meet the MC before making a decision. I met with Arlene at Florissima too and felt the same way you did. But after seeing their work last night and meeting Aubert (her husband who might be the owner) my opinion changed. Pedestals is great too!!

I am using Flowers By Brian for our wedding this August, so far they seem to be great to deal with, and I am very happy w. the reviews that they have gotten here. Good luck planning!

I went to see fleurs de fleurissma and I didn't like Arlene either. I went with Flower Michele and I'm so excited - you can do a search on them - everyone here loves John from there! He already made me samples and they're gorgeous!

I'm using a band, so I can't help on the DJ.

For photographer Im using Jovon and I already got my epics and they're AMAZING!

I'm not using JoVon's videographer b/c of price. I'm looking into two other companies for that right now and I'm not worried at all about them being different.
