Any other writers in here?

Hi all!
I am the biggest book nerd ever, and to top it off, an aspiring writer! So, my question is this - I know this is the story board, but does anyone else in here write your own fiction? It's my dream to do this full time, but I'm cursed by the worst critic in the world - ME!! I've started over 30 different stories at this point, but then I just run head on into a writer's block and just attack my own work with criticisms to the point where I can't finish anything! The only thing that seems to work to the point of completion is writing poetry, and I have tons of that written - but then I feel so overwhelmed at the thought of finding an agent too - it's just one big cycle of self doubt! Just curious if anyone else is in the same boat, or if I'm just screwy Thanks for listening!

I love to write but not fiction..mostly just keeping my writer's notebook and captruing my thoughts and feelings...
I once heard a famous poet say that you should just write a stream of conscieousness when you're stuck...sometimes it helps to open a 'locked door'

there are alot of books out there on how to get published...maybe do some investigating

If it's a dream then go for it...Your passion could become your career..
