Any photoshop experts that can help me?

I have a photo copy of my cake, which I have faded in Photoshop so it can be the background of my Save the Date cards. I plan on doing business size card magnets but do not know how to either:

A. Print these pictures onto business cards and then print the text from another program; or

B. Print the text in Photoshop ontop of the pictures and then print business card size pictures.

I have tried importing it into another program where I make my own business cards, holiday cards, etc... but it will not import any pictures of my cake and they are all jpeg if that helps.

I'd appreciate any help!

Re: Any photoshop experts that can help me?

If you have the photo in photoshop, create a new layer.

Then use the Text tool to draw a box. You can then type in whatever text you want, and make it whatever font and color you want. make sure you have the Character window (I believe) open so that you can choose colors, fonts, size that you want.

From here, you can flatten the layers and then save as a TIFF image and import to another program so that you can print multiple copies on a magnet sheet.

Hope this helped a little!

Re: Any photoshop experts that can help me?

Also, make sure your photo is in CMYK mode since that is what is the best for printing.

RGB is what is used to view on the web and on screen.

Go to Image, Mode, CMYK.

(I work in marketing and deal with photoshop & printing all the time. Hopefully this is helpful to you. Sometimes when you use a program alot you forget how to do things since they become second nature to you.)

Re: Any photoshop experts that can help me?

Just make sure that the resolution of the copy of the scanned was scanned extremly high. And keep the resolution of the Save the Date's at 300dpi.
