i got the chi and wasnt as impressed as i thought i would be...i actually bought it off ebay, cheaper than the stores.
i stand by my $25 conair one i got from cvs like 4 years ago lol

salono -ive had it since high school and it still works as good as the 1st day and i have very curly hair

I have a chi (can't recall the model #) but it's the one you can use on wet hair and it's GREAT!

I use the Maxi Glide and I love it! I feel in love with it on an infomercial. My hair is naturally curly and it does a great job

I have a Solano that still works GREAT! But I recently got aT3 Technology Wet/Dry Straightener! It was recommended by a Salon owner I know and he promised it wouldn't do as much damage to my hair as the typical straightener~~AND you can straighten it while it's WET! Savesa whole step and a s***tload of damage! I LOVE it! It's a bit pricey bit it will be the last one you buy! I got it at Sephora--LOVE IT!
