Any tips for preparing myself for a brazillian?

Original post by BellaEyes

This is my first time getting it done. I was told to exfoliate the night before and to take a tylenol the day of. Is it really that painful? Should I take a pain killer instead of a tylenol? I am getting scared now.. my appt is at 6:00 tonight... oh boy....

Advil baby! They also make creams to put on before you get it done. Look for something that says 'pre wax kit' in the Skintimate aisle. It hurts, but you'll be strong! In a day or two you will see why you did it!

That's true about your period, the closer you are to getting it the less your resistence to pain is.

I've been doing since I turned 20. I take 2-3 motrin(good for pain, and swelling) about 1/2 hr before, and I'm fine

its not bad and it gets better the more you go.

My twin sister said the same thing, I watched her get one done. She looks at me and said,' You should get one before your honeymoon' THen the woman ripps the paper off of her, I replied no thanks I will stick to using a rasor and have bumps

i can barely get my eyebrows done, they hurt so badly. and the lip hurts even more. i dont think i'd be able to handle getting a brazillian although i always wanted to get it done. i guess i'll be dealing with shaving and bumps! oh well. it'll save me the pain! (and i have 2 full sleeve tattoos and a leg piece and i cant deal with pain haha)

You should get laser done. Hurts a lot less than waxing! It's great and eventually you'll be hair free!

How many visits do you have to go to before it's all off?

Gosh I dunno why most people are such babies about this. It's not THAT bad! You'll be fine, take two advils before you go and that's it.
