Does anyone know of a good, reputable, and honest travel agent either in the Queens or Nassau area? I am looking into a Carribean Island honeymoon, nothing like Sandals or anything, something more secluded and less populated. I appreciate any recommendations. Thanks.
She was great and got back to me with all the information right away. My honeymoon is a little complicated and I felt confident with Sharon handling the details. And her prices came out lower then prices I was quoted on the internet.

Re: Any travel agent recommendations?
THERE ARE MANY GREAT TRAVEL AGENTS AROUND AND MANY BAD ONES... YOU MUST BE CAREFUL....
#1, WHEN GOING TO THEIR OFFICE, IS IT CLEAN? #2. DO YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE GIVING THEM YOUR WELL EARNED MONEY? #3. ARE THEY LISTENING TO YOU AND WHAT YOU WANT? OR ARE THEY TELLING YOU WHERE AND WHAT YOU SHOULD DO,
A GOOD TRAVEL AGENT IS ONE THAT IS WELL TRAVELED, AND CAN SPEAK AND TELL YOU THINGS ABOUT A DESTINATION THAT MOST PEOPLE DON;T KNOW... GREAT LITTLE RESTAURANT ON THE BEACH, GO TO THIS STORE FOR SOME SHOPPING AND SO FORTH.
I HAVE TWO SUGGESTIONS FOR YOU. #1. WHAT ISLAND ARE YOU MOST INTERESTED IN? MOST ISLANDS HAVE WEBSITES AND HAVE A TRAVEL AGENTS SECTION ON THEM. YOU CAN PUNCH IN YOUR ZIP CODE AND IT WILL GIVE YOU SOME TRAVEL AGENTS THAT HAVE SOLD A LOT OF THE DESTINATION AND ARE MOST LIKELY SPECIALISTS.
OR MY NEXT SUGGESTION IS TO GO TO LIBERTY. CALL UP AN OFFICE NEAR YOUR HOUSE AND ASK TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AGENT, AND DON;T BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR THE MANAGER AND ASK THEM FOR THEIR BEST AGENT. TELL THEM WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR. THEY CAN HELP YOU OUT.
IT IS PERFECTLY FINE TO CALL A COUPLE OF TRAVEL AGENTS AND CHECK THEM OUT. BOOK WITH THE ONE THAT GIVES YOU THE MOST INFORMATION.
YOU CAN ALSO FIND A REALLY HIGH-END TRAVEL AGENT BY GOING TO:
WWW.VIRTUOSO.COM they HAVE A SECTION ON FIND A TRAVEL AGENT. I THINK YOU HAVE TO EMAIL THEM, BUT ANY AGENCY THAT BELONGS TO VIRTUOSO IS VERY HIGH END.
GOOD LUCK. IF YOU HAVE ANYMORE QUESTIONS, YOU KNOW WHERE I AM..
PS, I AM IN THE INDUSTRY... THAT IS HOW I KNOW THIS INFO

I highly recommend Dawn from Cruise One. She does more than cruises. She gave us the best deal. I contacted a number of places and she just really was the best for our $$$. She was very sweet and knows her stuff.
If you need her contact info, FM me. I have it at home. Good Luck!

I have a warning. Stay away from Liberty Travel in Greenwhich Village. They screwed everything up, gave us completely wrong info and never got back to us!

Re: Any travel agent recommendations?
We used In and Out Travel in Lindenhurst ( vendor on here as well) ...i saw soem good posts about them...Our first quote was way above what we expected, Dave from there researched for a whiel for us and got us a much better deal, same hotels etc ( this was Costa Rica though). They work with you...i would call around to at least 3 places and see who you get the best 'feel ' from and price of course
