Re: Questions on Westbury Manor
My FI & I plan to check out both Westbury Manor & Stewart Manor Country Club on Saturday & then make our decision between those two & Coral House (which we saw already & liked). I like Fox Hollow but they don't have the date I would like available & they are more $$. I figured I'd check out Westbury Manor since its owned by the same people who own Fox Hollow. I just wanted to ask a few questions to Westbury Manor brides or brides-to-be:(1) Does the Westbury Manor provide you with a bridal attendant?
(2) Do they have a separate place to take photos?
(3) Do you know if they are negotiable/ flexible with prices?
(4) Do they have valet parking?
Sorry for all the questions, but I tried calling the WM to ask, but the BM was in a meeting. & Thanks for your help with this!

Re: Questions on Westbury Manor
Hi,I am a Fox Hollow bride, but Westbury Manor was our second choice! We did not choose WM because FH's bro was married there and we've been to tons of weddings there. Wanted something different. To answer your questions though:
1 - they are owned by Scotto Bros. I'm sure you will have a bridal attendant with you for the day!
2 - WM has TONS of places to take pics! The grounds are beautiful (better than FH) and they have an entire room to take pics in!
3 - I do not think that they are negotiable with prices. They will however, throw a few things in I'm sure. Like I am getting an extra pasta dish at the reception and veinesse trays for dessert. You will have to speak with your BM of course!
4 - Yes valet parking!
Good luck! Keep us posted!
Edited to say, I should've mentioned this first, BUT WM is more expensive than FH.

Re: Questions on Westbury Manor
Thanks for answering my questions Octbride! ooh-i didn't know the WM was more pricey than the Fox Hollow (they don't really discuss prices over the phone, now I know why!)well, I think we'll still check it out & see what happens, I can't wait till we finally decide on a place!

Re: Questions on Westbury Manor
It depends on when you are interested in having the wedding. We were quoted the same price at WM and FH-- but I think you get more food at FH. We went with WM so that we can have an outdoor cocktail hour.

Re: Questions on Westbury Manor
You're welcome! Like dc said, it depends on when you are planning your affair for! We were quoted hire at WM than at FH.dcbride,
Why couldn't you have your cocktail hour outside at FH? I'm just curious. I hope mine will be. Did it matter if you weren't having the Garden Terrace? My reception is in the GT.

Re: Questions on Westbury Manor
We are only having around 200 people so we were looking at the Briar Fox room and the bm never mentioned an outdoor cocktail hour so I am assuming that is reserved for the room you have.Just wanted to add that an outdoor cocktail hour was not even something we were looking for or asking about but when we saw one at WM we had to have it. We were torn between WM and FH because the Inn is just so convenient at FH.

Re: Questions on Westbury Manor
Hey Josie-Not a problem...
1) yes they do have bridal attendants and from what I heard and read are very helpful.
2) From what my photographer says and from the pictures of other weddings I;ve seen, the WM has gorgeouse outside spots for pictures. Including a stone bridge...there is also a studio inside if It rains.
Infact, all the Scotto places have places inside for pictures..
3) My wedding date is Nov 8, 2003. The ceremony will take place at 11:00am at St peters and cocktails will begin at 12:30.
4)The prices depended on time of year and what day you selected (Friday/Saturday/Morning/afternoon) - since it was Nov and we wanted the afternoon it is $75 per person. I believe Friday night in Nov was the same and Sat evening may have been $85?? Can't remember...
5)Yes they have valet parking.
They thru in the Viennesse(sp?) hour as well...
when looking at prices don't forget tax (8.5%) and gratuity (18%).

Re: Any Westbury Manor Brides
Josie-I think all your questions have been answered, but I just wanted to chime in and let you know the place is beautiful and everyone I dealt with there was awesome. I just booked for June 2004 so the prices were higher due to the season. The price was negotiable though. They threw in a lot of extras and knocked about $30 off the price if you were to add it all up individually.

Re: Any Westbury Manor Brides
Hi All! I am a little late to this post due to computer problems but I am also a WM Bride - getting married there Sept 21, 2003 - I am so excited, I just loved the place as soon as I saw it and knew it was exactly what I was looking for! I chose a Sunday evening and we saved on the price per person. So far I have not booked any of their vendors but I still have things I need to do - ie - florist, invites, tuxes and limos. Our cocktail reception begins at 6pm and we are taking photos on their gorgous grounds and having our cocktail hour outside (as I am crossing my fingers for good weather). Good luck!!
