I am doing plaid bridesmaid dresses. I am getting them from Serafina (Serafina ) although you can not see the plaid on the web site so I will post my pics of swatches. The dress will be two piece and they will get to pick their top and bottom. The flowergirl will be in a little white flowergirl dress and will have a sash around her waiste in that plaid. Let me know if you have any questions. Also here is a link to a thread from a while ago, there are a ew other plaid dresses in this as well Plaid

I wanted to add, I am not sure what your budget is for the girls but serafina is very expensive.

Well awhile ago I posted 2 bridesmaids dresses and asked everyone to vote, my favorite and the majority of the votes was a wine color jim hjelm tafetta, unfortunately 2 of the girls did not look too good in it - It was my fav - but I didnt want to do that to them, so our second choice is a plaid jim hjelm, (mistyeyed actaully posted it here)

I just wanted to see if anyone else was doing plaid and what everyone thought of it.

and I am still undecided on what to do with Flowergirl? should I just get a white dress and put coordinating plaid sash or just buy a white dress and leave it the way it is?

there is also a skirt with this pattern but I dont like the top that it comes with.

here is the one we are getting(unless I change my mind before Sat, hee hee !)

Personally, I like the sash idea but then again I am biased because that is what I am doing and think it will look great!

The jim hjelm plaids are so pretty. I would definitely use the plaid sash on the flower girl.

My BM's are in the third dress and the flower girls are wearing ivory dresses with the same plaid sash. I can't wait!

fopr those of you doing the flowergirl dresses with the matching plaid sash. How much did you pay for the extra material? Or are you using extra material from a bridesmaid dress?

I am not sure just yet. I am going for the dresses next friday. I am hoping that I can just use extra material from one of the girls dresses though. I dont think we will need much material for the sash
