We are not doing the garter or bouquet toss. We will present the bouquet to the couple who has been married the longest.

we didn't do them. We cut the cake but didn't make a big deal about it (no special song or annoucement) - it was called a quiet cutting, only clued in the photographer so he could get shots. Most of the guests didn't know it was happening.

I haven't been to a wedding that did the garter/bouquet thing in years (and I've been to a lot of weddings lately

I am not doing the garter or throwing the bouquet..I'm going to dedicate it to the couples that we feel have played an important part in our lives and whose relationships we would like to model ours after...
as for the cake we are going to cut it but we are not going to do the whole stop the party and feed each other thing..just quietly off to the side.

Any ideas besides the anniversary dance for the bouquet? My grandparents may not make it and FH's have passed away. I don't want my parents old friends getting it b/c they aren't that special to me.
