I've gotten it TWICE in the last few weeks. One by a person who will not be invited too - i think i just stood there with my mouth open just like that

I hate when people say, they can't wait to go to your wedding!! Especially when you know the only way they would be invited is if hell froze over!!!!!

In the beginning, I just told people that our list wasn't finalized yet. Near the end, I told those who weren't invited that it was a small wedding, only family and close friends.

I really hate the people who just assume they're invited... even if i could afford to invite everyone I know, there are still people I wouldn't want there. It's just so presumptuous - weddings are expensive, and even though we're having a big wedding, I'd still like some level of privacy and intimacy by limiting invites to those people I really do want there - not a roomful of people I just happen to know. It's annoying, and I never know how to respond to it, it's very awkward for me.

I get that alot where I work! I usually just say, whos going to work for me if I invite you? At first i was nice about it and I hadnt started that process yet, but now its sooooo over on the nice tip. These are people I dont go out with let alone know where they live or their phone numbers. So what makes them think they are going to be invited?

that really is rude. I would never ask if I was invited. I haven't had this problem yet, but I wouldn't even know what to say.

OMG, you have no idea what I have been going through with one person in particular. He's asked about 6 times if he was invited. I told him no 3 times because 'only close family and friends were coming, since we were paying for this ourselves' and he said, 'I'll write you a check right now... how much ar ethe plates' I laughed it off, and he askes me probably once a month. He told me after I told him no the third time, that he was taking the day off from work and he was crashing my wedding... what a psycho!

My response to a person who asked me if he was invited was ' I never really thought about it, since we only see each other once every other year or so.'

That might be rude of me, but hey the truth hurts sometimes! Gues there's a little bridezilla in me afterall!

For me the onlt two people that did that were my bosses. I ended up inviting both of them. Now my RSVP date has passed and one of the two did not RSVP yet. I have to ask her if she is actually coming or not. Ugh.
