on your HM? If so...where are you going? We can't afford to spend a lot but still want to have a nice HM....suggestions?

FH & I went to Jamaica - Couples Swept Away - and it was under $5k for the AI and airfare. Both of our cruises were under $5k.

we spent less than that and went to Sandals Grand Ochos Rios for 7 nights.
We had a honeymoon ocean view villa with semi private pool and butler service
We booked with Leslie Daniels from Travel Solutions by Marcia and she actually saved us more than booking through Sandals website during their 50% off sale.
I'd give her a call and tell her your budget and what you'd like to do and she'll work with you.

We are doing Aruba for 10 days in September and got a really good deal! All inclusive too!

Check out the Occidental in Aruba. We were in Aruba about 2 years ago and loved it! The weather is guaranteed, and the place is so relaxing! We stayed at the Aruba Resort Spa and Casino last time, but now its the Westin.

Yes, we are doing an all-inclusinve in Jamaica for 8 days and everything (including airfare) was $4900

We got a great price for Aventura Spa Palace (see pics in album), for around $3500 (all inclusive) with airfare for 8 days.... Riviera Maya. mexico

FH and I went there - soooooooooooooooooooo much better than Sandals.

Loved Aventura!!!!!!!!! We want to go back again and again and again!

oh good!!! I love to hear good things about that place!! Any suggestions, about where to go/what to see, off site?

Don't:

Go to Xcaret or Chichen Itza.

Xcaret - overpriced ecological park - think small zoo. Lots of tropics, very few animals. We went there to do swimming with dolphins. Find a place that JUST does dolphins. People we met at the resort were able to swim with dolphins, walruses, seals, etc... I don't know the name but that sounded really cool.

Chichen Itza - Such a long trip. It's 2 hrs to the ruins, 2 hrs back and about an hour is spent there. It wasn't worth it to me. We wasted a whole day - there are other, shorter trips to diff ruins.

Do:

Take advantage of the staff there - they're SO helpful! Go get a couples massage, take out their kayaks, go snorkeling, do all the water aerobics and stuff.

If you DO go to the ruins - don't buy anything from the marketplace that you will inevitably stop at. They sell the exact same items at the ruins for a fraction of the cost.

I loved Aventura - 24 hr room service, AMAZING staff, beautiful resort. You're going to have an amazing HM!!!!!!

We are going to aruba and it costed us around 3500 but we are in one of the most expensive hotels..but its also not inclusive

We did Couples San Souci in Ochos Rios for $4000 incl air. Its like sandals but included more in their AI.

We are Our budget is 4000 (actually may spend 4300) but it is definitely possible to have an amazing HM under 5000. We originally were spending 6k, but then we realized things we can do for much less...

This is what we are doing... 7 day cruise (not sure which yet) and going to Atlantis for 4 nights.. airfare jumping around, and all that within our budget.

We're in kauai, HI now....we spent a little over 4K for 13 days! look into bed and breakfasts instead of those big resort hotels. it saved us a fortune.

(i'm only on LIW because it's 7 AM and DH is still sleeping....there are tons of roosters that crow every morning and they wake me up since i'm a light sleeper )
