My DH only wears it when we go somewhere togther, ie Bars, weddings, dinner, etc... He can't wear it to work, but I don;t think he remembers to wear to put it on when he goes out with his friends. I never noticed. I don't feel that he loves me any less, I just don't make an issue out of it.

My DH never wore jewlery either, he didn't think he would be able to get used to it, But since we got married he wears his ring proudly!

I've heard so many guys say this. I don't think it's any ole piece of jewelry, it's symbolic for a reason and yes I def think men should. FH doesn't wear any either but he is going to wear a nice thin plain band.

Mine can't waer his to work- he's in construction and could wind up hurting himself if he had any jewelery on.

Mine doesn't wear his to work for that same reason. He wears it on the weekend!

FH is a paramedic so he won't wear it at work - but I told him I would get him a chain if he wanted to wear it on the chain when he was at work (my friend's husband is a contractor and that's how he wears his at work)

My FI has mentioned he is not a jewelry person either...so I told him you don't wear the ring, I don't change my last name....

You're asking me to change my identity but you won't wear a ring because its 'not you' Come on now....

My best friend got married 4 years ago and she wore her wedding band for about a month and then never wore it again because she doesnt like jewelry (dont ask... I dont know ) but her husband doesnt care because he knows she loves him soooo much and the ring is trivial compared to other ways she shows her love.

IMO my FH is NOT taking it off and neither will I but I just wanted to give you the other side of the coin so to speak.

my FH doesn't wear jewelery either but wants a ring. Even before we were engaged, he wanted some kind of ring- he used to wear a ring I bought on the street on his right hand until it broke.

He just wnats it to be really palin, but he defintely wants towear it.

For those who can't wear it to work, that's no excuse to not get one, you aren't always at work.

I do like the tatto idea though. my FH would much rather where the ring than get a tatto, though.

WHAT? Every groom should wear a wedding band. That is crazy!!! Lucky for me FH loves jewelery, he is Italian

Here is my compromise!!!

You don't wanna wear jewelry...fine.

Then we are going to get you a tattoo of a ring on your finger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My FH doesn't want to wear one and I don't really have a problem with it... to be quite honest, I didn't really want a ring for myself (but kinda fell in love with the diamond on my finger so now I'm stuck!)... my father never wore one because it just wasn't him... he never wore any kind of jewelry, including a watch, and it would've looked weird. My mother never minded, probably because my father is the most faithful and loyal person on the planet... which is the same with my FH... wearing a ring isn't going to prevent something from happening... and I don't need a ring on his finger to show to me he is committed to me... it's the way he treats me and looks at me... not the ring.

My FI wouldn’t mind wearing a ring but probably wont most of the time.
I actually would rather him not were it to work.
He will probable were it when we go out and stuff but not to work.
Personally, I couldn’t care less if he wore one or not.

My FH can't wear his while he works because he works underground with electricity. His mother had said maybe he doesn't need to get a ring, and I was like, he's definitely getting a ring, he can wear it when he's not working.

My FH can't wear one at work, but that's the only time. Other than that he'll wear it.

He doesn't have to wear it to work.. BUT THAT'S IT!!!! I am nervous that if he hurts it at work, then he'll lose a finger, and it will be MY FAULT..lol.. just kidding

I don't get the 'jewelry' thing. It's not like you're asking him to wear a giant diamond pinky ring. It's a WEDDING ring. I don't even understand (other than some of the job-hazard related issues posted) why it's an option for guys not to wear one. That's totally not the case for women. Doesn't make sense to me.
