Two years ago I got invited to an old co-workers wedding. Ok, I guess I should start with the engagement party.....It was catered by Abigail Kirsch at her In-laws house down at the Jersey shore at 9pm on a Saturday night. I was invited without a date and I knew no one at all except her!! (I was not dating fiance at the time). I sucked it up and went all by myself and I had a bad time.
6 months later I get the wedding invite also down at the shore. It was Black Tie - also not invited with a guest. Now - I do understand that you sometimes need to keep the guest list low- but I knew no one!! I decided not to go. I felt really bad bc I really like her, but I thought it was crazy for a 28 yr old to be invited to a black tie event with out a date! Especially since I knew she had no budget - she had top of the line everything!!!!!
