Yes. Of course I have to go to Seattle Thurs. night on business with the volcano erupting etc..... BUT- I was wondering if anyone had ever been to Seattle and can recommend on what I can do around the city for the few hours I have off (I know I'm def. going to the Needle.)
Also- know of any good restaurants? Thanks!

Re: Anyone been to Seattle?
I was there last May for work. Have to say, not really a fan. But, there is a restaurant at the top of the Space Needle. It revolves so you see the whole city while you're eating. Not sure if it was just our waiter but he kept pointing out the sites and explaining things to us as we passed it. Also, you can walk around their market - that fish market that the guy from Real World worked at is right in the middle of it.

Oh wow...Seatlle (and Washington) is my favoritist (I know really bad grammer) place. I almost moved there. There is a lot you can do. There is an underground tour that I really loved. It is fun and it shows you the city from a vantage point noone really sees. They are big on Jazz so that might be nice at night. Pikes Fish market is fun too.. They really do throw fish but just the general looking and shopping is great too. Space needle is always fun and the restaurant up there is really good too. There is tons to do but it depends how much time you have. As far as food I'm not sure. I can't remember the names of the places I ate at other than the top of the space needle. I would say check out Zagats.

Re: Anyone been to Seattle?
I went to college in Seattle. I would move back in a heartbeat. Don't really know why I moved away, come to think of it....
Anyway, I don't remember the names of any restaurants - it was college, I was poor, so the only places I went to were coffee shops, cheap Chinese places, and this one little shack on the water that had the most amazing fish and chips...yum!
Wow, this was not at all helpful. Sorry.
Have a great trip!

Seattle is great! Definitely check out the Needle and right near by is the Seattle World's Fair site which they have turned into a arts and museum complex. Pikes Market where they throw the fish is fun. We stayed in Belltown and went to a great seafood place, Flying Fish, and a few bars--I think it was called Cyclops Cafe.
