Anyone dancing with their mother.

Original post by Espo22

I want to do something for my mom, give her a moment...My plan was to have her and my father walk me down the aisle but when I brought this up to them recently she said no that is your dads moment, she doesn't want to take away from that and wants it all to be for him.

I just watched a video of the bride who danced with her father and mother and I definitely want to do the same...curious who else will do this?
and if so what song are you using...I was thinking of the song because you loved me-by celine dion for the father daughter dance but i think i would use this instead to dance with my mother and use another song with my dad...any other suggestions

BTW i just listened to wind beneath my wings and after listening to it all i decided against it

I am. My father passed away 11 years ago. My godfather will be walking me down the aisle.
He also will have a special dance with me. I decided that I wanted a mother and daughter dance. We will be dancing to 'I Hope You Dance'.
She purchased me this book with the CD in it when got my 1st dance teaching job but the song means so much more between mother and daughter. I decided to dance with her to that song.

~dancer~

awww that is really sweet

I know I'm late on this but my dad's deceased and I'm dancing with my mom to a song she used to sing to me when I was younger - 'Puff the Magic Dragon' - it's really a song about children growing up so it's kind of appropriate too.

I am also going to say a little toast to her and give her my toss away bouquet instead of doing the bouquet toss.
