I want to do something for my mom, give her a moment...My plan was to have her and my father walk me down the aisle but when I brought this up to them recently she said no that is your dads moment, she doesn't want to take away from that and wants it all to be for him.
I just watched a video of the bride who danced with her father and mother and I definitely want to do the same...curious who else will do this? and if so what song are you using...I was thinking of the song because you loved me-by celine dion for the father daughter dance but i think i would use this instead to dance with my mother and use another song with my dad...any other suggestions
BTW i just listened to wind beneath my wings and after listening to it all i decided against it

At my uncle and aunts wedding, they had the mother daughter(s) dance to 'In my Daughters eyes' and 1/2 through the DJ stopped it and said something along,, 'we know thats not your style lets mix it up' and started playing and upbeat fun song... This was my aunts plan and it was GREAT

I def am!!! Gotta give a moment to mommy too!!!! My sister danced with my mom to 'There You'll Be' by Faith Hill. It was sooo nice!!! I haven't decided on a song yet though!!

Yes I am dancing with my mom...i feel like I should she has been so awesome. I think i may dance to a song for my daughter but the female version...not sure who sings it...it is really nice

I want to dance with my mom to Martina McBride In my daughters eyes....i cry when i hear that song.
In Jewish tradition the mother and father walk the daughter down the aisle. sometimes both sets of parents stand up with their children.
what seems normal to me is the father walking the bride down the aisle, but to FH's family its both parents walking the bride down the aisle.
I have no decided what i am doing yet, since my parents are divorced. But i think its nice to honor both mother and father because they created you.
I duno why in catholic religion its all about the dad

I am !. I almost lost my mom in a horrible car accident quite a few years ago.( they brought her back 2 times and she underwent over a year of rehab) I am so glad she is here so see me get married! i just have to find the perect song!

Im doing this also...My friend did it at her wedding and I thought it was beautiful! Im also dancing with my twin (who is really my cousin but might as well be my twin brother) He's been to Iraq twice and Im so grateful to have him...I wouldnt have it any other way.... Me and my father will dance to Unforgetable, me and my mom to Celine Dion, and me and my twin to Monica's For You I will, because the chorus is 'I will cross the ocean for you....' and I was always telling him I would come over there and get him....

I wanted both to walk me down too, but my mom doesnt want to take that away from my dad, i said im also dancing with him....but she sees it as the father is supposed to give you away and it should be his moment. But i do think its sweet that she is doing that

LOL I know right. My mom and I are extremely close like many of you lol...I couldn't imagine not doing something special just for her.

I am. My father passed away 11 years ago. My godfather will be walking me down the aisle. He also will have a special dance with me. I decided that I wanted a mother and daughter dance. We will be dancing to 'I Hope You Dance'. She purchased me this book with the CD in it when got my 1st dance teaching job but the song means so much more between mother and daughter. I decided to dance with her to that song.
