Anyone do favors with Personalized M&M's???

How many bags did you buy? I will need them to fill approx. 200 favor boxes.

I did them for my engagement party. The personalized m&m's came in 8 oz bags. I went to CVS and bought a regular colored 8oz bag of m&m's, and used the whole bag to fill up as many favor boxes as it would (without eating any in the process!). Then I figured out how many 8oz bags I would need for the 90 favors I filled. It really depends on how much you fill each favor, how big they are, etc. Do this with yours, and then you can figure out how many you would need to fill 200 favors. Just order a bag or two extra, just in case. BTW... some of my m&m's were chipped or missing half the m&m (I think I got them to give me a little credit back for the weird ones).

Suggestion... save a LITTLE bit of $$ by mixing the personalized ones with your names on them with just the 'wedding mix' or individual colors, so not ALL of them have your names on them. They're a little cheaper, so they work well as 'filler' for the awesome personalized ones.

This is what I did. I think I had about 20-23 pounds total for 110 favors.

The custom color m&ms with your personalized sayings only come in 8 oz bags. The custom color m&ms without printing come in 8 oz or 5 lb bags.

So, if you do 20-23 lbs of all custom color with personalization, you would need 40-46 of the 8 oz bags. I did 2 of the 5lb custom color bags (total 10 lbs) and 20 or so of the custom color and printed m&ms (total 10 lbs).

I just finished this project. I made 100 boxes. I bought the boxes from Ebay. The box size is 2x2x1 1/4. I used a combination of my colors and personalized M&M's. I bought 2 5lb bags of color and 6-8oz bags. I used all of them to make 100 boxes. I would recommend doubling my recipe and some more!! There were quite a few broken candies that my nephew proceeded to eat.

I know where to get the personalized M & Ms but where do you get the colored M & Ms? (Bc they are obviously not on the same site)

They are both from the M&M site. The top tab says Custom Printed and next to it is 21 colors. You pick the colors you like from there.

My colors are pink. I should have bought the bags for less around Valentine's Day but I thought that was too early. I didnt want the candy to go bad. I will probably do just the colors, not the personalized m&m's. If I need 40 bags it will cost me a fortune.

I bought them for my eparty. THey were very expensive, i would go to dylans candy bar or something like that and get some plain ones in your color to mix it up. You don't get alot for your money.
