Fh and I are thinking of moving to Europe after a couple of years into our marriage
I am so jealous!!!! I would love to move to Italy
Yeah Greece def has a different life than here. I want to at least try it for a year.
I would just say that you should start looking into visa/residency information now. It took FOREVER for me to be able to legally live and work in Sweden, and I did it through a tricky backdoor (by becoming an Irish citizen since my grandparents were born there, I became an EU citizen and can live anywhere in the EU).
I am in the process of becoming a member of the EU. FH is a teacher so he said he would get a license for that to be able to teach there but its not a visa. Thanks for sharing this. FH and I have to first become Greek citizens then proceed. I hope its that easy

Good luck! I really don’t know anything outside of the rules for Sweden and Ireland, but I do know that getting into the EU isn’t apparently as bad as getting into the US. And just think, once you’re an EU citizen you can go anywhere in Europe!!!
Btw—it was pretty easy for Ireland because for a while there they were experiencing quite a slump, so they wanted more citizens. If your grandparents were born there, you could register as an Irish citizen of foreign birth. I have no clue, but maybe Greece has something similar if your grandparents were born there?
