ANyone else doing Microderm?

I have been doing microderm and timeless peels for about a month and a half now. I see a subtle difference but not much.

Anyone else doing it? Are you seeing results?

I used to have a slight burn from dancing outside at a show without sunblock on...I had 6 treatments of microdermabrasion.........my skin was smooth in certain areas but it did nothing for the spot or my slight acne. A few months later I went to a local beauty supply store bought carrot lotion for $11 and the burn was gone in 1 week. I haven't had it since and that was like 3 1/2 years ago but for all the $$$ I paid....I didn't think it was worth it.

Thank You! I didn't pay for it I actually got a gift certificate so I figured what th hell. Other then that I don't think I would pay for it.

Carrot lotion maybe I will give it a whirl

I never had a peel or microderm but I am thinking about it... After seeing this post, I may try carrot lotion. Sounds good!

I've done microdermabrasion before and I saw no difference at all so I stopped doing them.

I have an appt on Feb 28 for micro. Maybe I should cancel? My derm told me you pretty much have to go consistently to see any type of results. But who has that kind of money!!

If I didn't have the GC I wouldn't bother I am going to give the carrot lotion a whirl. Think they have it in the beauty supply store?

Don't cancel I say try it at least once or 2x! If you don't see a difference then cancel.

I hear it doesn't work the same for all GL

I did a package of 6 treatments but I say don't cancel...try it...maybe it just didn't work on me.

I plan on doing it... maybe like 3 to 6 times before the wedding. I was told to have facials in between if there are long periods of time between your sessions just to maintian. I have a great dermatologist so i can't wait to get started on that. When I first went to go they wouldn't do it for me because I wasn't off of Accutane for at least 6 months at the point.... and that was like 2 years ago... so I should be in the clear now!
I'm surprised you are only seeing a subtle difference because everyone I talk to who has done it says it's amazing and they feel a difference right away. Now I'm curious what my outcome will be. I will be sure to post about it when i do it,

I think Oil of Olay or some brand like that makes some sort of Microdermabrasion lotion or something. I saw a commercial for it... but I can't seem to find it in stores. Although... I don't always remember to look for it.

IMO... I think that the peels are better than microderm. Especially the MD skin care peel. It really helps with taking away redness and minimizing your pores. If you are going to spend the money I think you'll get better results with the peels.
