Anyone else feel violated?

Anyone else feel violated?

By this whole Eliot Spitzer BS? I voted for ES, after listening to him preach the moral high road for years. What a creep.

not really because as sad as it is, this is the reality about alot of people in power so can't say how surprised i am. I mean its always surprising to hear the news but not shocked because alot of people in government are corrupt and also powerful people in general

corrupt yes, but 80k worth of prostitutes...not quite the same to me as the other adulterous/misogynistic stories about politicians in the last 10 or 15 years. especially b/c he preached so much about morality and righteousness. bill clinton really made no secret that he was a pig, so i wasn't too shocked by that one.

Basically the same way I feel. It's not that I expected it, just that it doesn't shock me. I feel like you really can't trust most people in politics so you have to go with the one you agree with most and sometimes you have to put their personal **** aside.

well many of them do these type of things too, whether corrupt or going to prostitutes. Also many rich and powerful men do have affairs, i personally always think that most of them do. So these things don't really surprise me. Many who preach the most are the worst ones.

As long as its not 80K of my taxpayer money, i dont care, and im not surprised. How many people do that crap....only diff is hes public office and is under the looking glass all the time, but hes still and man and still a person and they do do these types of things,

but if any penny went to that ill kick him in the face myself. It would be an improvement

Call me old fashioned I guess. Adultery doesn't make me flinch, but throw in prostitution and you've got me upset! Especially given that I follow politics and he, in particular, is now one of the biggest hypocrites of all. I'm sure **** Grasso is leaning back in his chair toasting his resignation.

They often are. But when someone doesn't take a position on moral issues, and then they turn out to be immoral, I guess for me it's less of a shock. So with Bill Clinton, who never purported to be a man of morals, not only was I not shocked, but I thought it was really none of our business if he was bangingg an intern. With this guy, he has taken a harsh public stance on all sorts of moral issues, so I'm annoyed all the more that he turns out to be so beyond immoral.

this doesn't surprise me at all. if you ask me... i think all politicians are like this. some are probably much worse. I think it is absolutely hilarious that he got caught and now has to endure the public humiliation that he very well deserves.

Despite the fact that I think he does deserve the humiliation, I feel sorry for his wife and 3 teenage daughters b/c they don't deserve it.

I think his wife knew what was going on and if she had any self respect she wouldn't be standing by him through this. Most politicians wives are simply there to make their husbands look like great family men while they get to live the great lifestyle. They don't have real relationships. She should have known better then to subject her daughters to a sick relationship like that. The only ones I feel bad for are the daughters.

I won't even begin to speculate as to whether or not she knew, because I have no information on that and I don't think anyone else does either.

However, I 100% agree about her standing by him. I think she is INSANE. I understand that this is the world of politics, but the minute he started bangingg twenty-something hookers he took this outside the realm of politics. I agree with David Letterman - she should have packed her daughters up and gotten on the next train out of NY.

Ive been saying this all along, i think she knew. maybe not that they were hookers but that he was cheating. Listen, alot of my moms clients are filthy rich, celebrities, high profile etc. Let me tell you that MANY of them know that their husbands cheat. I mean come on, they are away for long periods of time, they hear things or theres evidence and they choose to ignore it. Many admit they know but hey they are not giving up their lifestyle and some feel that it comes with the territory. I think some people just have high opinions of those who are rich and or powerful, but i really dont at all. Ive seen many of these women and more than half are either alcoholics, on drugs, addicted to prescription pills. When i was younger i worked at a salon with high profile rich people and they were the craziest people ive seen SERIOUSLY!!!

Agree with you 1 million percent. I'd be out of there so fast. I just told my friend the only way I'd stand by him at that press conference is if I planned to tap him on the shoulder and slap him during it so it could all be photographed.
