Anyone else feeling

Anyone else feeling

indecisive lately with their wedding planning? I have 11 months to go and I can't make a decision for the life of me lately.

I'm 2nd guessing my dress, I'm going to Lillettes on Saturday to re-try it on. My invitations are going to be the death of me, bridesmaids dress I might have found & I can't find a make up artist that I love. I've done 4 trials so far.

Maybe I'm just not happy with myself(my weight)and that explains my dress & make up?

I feel like if I pick invitation A, then I'll find something else better. I don't want to rush my decision's but I do feel rushed lately and I'm 2nd guessing everything.

Gahhhhhhh

Please tell me I'm not alone girls.

Re: Anyone else feeling

you are far from alone lol... I am going to have nervous breakdown trying to decide if my reception stationary should match my invitations or not.

I am convinced being a bride takes away all decision making abilities lol

Re: Anyone else feeling

I definitely hear on many levels!!

I've actually felt very unaccomplished lately as I haven't gotten many checks lately with the exception of getting my dress and the BM dresses.

I also get very overwhelmed about pulling it all together. I had this vision in my head of how it would look and its proving harder to do than I thought with all the little details!

Don't worry, we will all go through something like this at some point in planning. Just try to push through the 'downs' and look forward to the 'ups'!

I put this up in a post a while back (almost exactly 6 months ago, it seems). It seems fitting here, so I'm reposting:

I know we're all on here planning our weddings and focusing on all the little details and trying to make everything PERFECT. But I saw these two quotes on another site... they struck me as good things to keep in mind to stay sane while planning. I figured I'd share!

'One of the phrases I learned during wedding planning is 'the best is the enemy of the good.' The more choices you have, the more you get immobilized and the more unable you are to make a choice. And it doesn’t need to be the best, it just needs to be good enough.'

and

'You’re not marrying the dress. And you’re not marrying the location. It’s probably important that you find a relatively perfect spouse, but if you’ve accomplished that, you’re probably not going to live with a lifetime of regret. That’s what you should focus on.'

When you worry about the dress or the invitations, it's usually because you're comparing what you've picked to all the other things you could have chosen. But when your guests are at your wedding, they'll only see the final one. They won't know if there's another dress that might look slightly better... they'll just know that you look stunning in the one you have on.

I love them and your 100% right.....thanks for putting it into perspective like that. =)

Whatever invitation I pick will be beautiful to my guests. If I have another bride-to-be(which I do)at my wedding, only she will know my pain, ahhahahahahha.

I'm like this with centerpieces, I can't decide for the life of me!

I'm an incredibly indecisive person in general, so I can only imagine how tough I'm going to have it when I really start to plan out the details.

I think you have the right mindset to not rush your decisions. But I also think second guessing will only get you into trouble. If you see something you love and people will love it, then go for it! I'm sure your dress is amazing as well, hopefully trying it for the second time will make you feel better. Good luck with everything!!

Re: Anyone else feeling

I am not indecisive at all but I do find myself second guessing what I have already chosen and am working on.

It's EVIL.

Re: Anyone else feeling

I'm already an indecisive person, who tends to leave decision making to the very last minute on a normal day. Soooooo, having to plan a wedding and make decisions years and months in advance is torture! Although I only have slight anxiety 14 months out, I can only imagine what it will be a year from now.
