Anyone Else Feeling A Bit Overwhelmed

With the economy the way it is and having to pay for a wedding in this mess is a bit depressing. I just got a quote from a videographer and I almost fell off my chair. They cost more than my photographer. WOW!!!

I really loved their work but there is no way I can afford them, even if they were willing to negotiate their base price is just too high.

JMO but I feel like vendors should be a little more sensitive to the economy and all thats going on. I know they need to make a living too, but come on some of their prices are ridiculous (even in a good economy)!!!

Your right and i definately feel like wedding vendors take advantage because almost everyone feels like this is such a special day, you want the best and so you're at the mercy of their prices.. I feel really good about the vendors I booked but I priced many other vendors that made my jaw drop

you have to really research vendors... A LOT...i did that and am actually fairly happy with what I am paying... of course nothing comes cheap and I am stressing over money anyway,,,BUT...i do feel that i did pretty well. I am also a winter bride so that helped me a great deal as well.

Yes, def. contact as many vendors as you can. The last photographer we stopped at showed us the video when we weren't even interrested in booking video....it made FH tear up! So... he gave us and awesome deal...a whle $800... There are great deals out there, but the task is actually finding them.

I agree with you completely...the vendors should be a bit more understanding... but the way I see it is that is their way of living, as you had said, but if I think something is waay over-priced after doing TONS of resarch...then I will talk to them about it. I would compare quotes from other vendors...
