Anyone else have a SO who is 'dead inside'?
For those of you who watch Friends, you might remember the episode where everyone says that Chandler is 'dead inside' because he never cries. Well FH is the same way. I've known him for 8 years, have been dating him for over 3 years and he has never cried! Not once, not a single tear. Any other guys out there like this or do I have the only one?

Actually we've made of fun him and that episode ...ETA: What would you like him to cry about?

Well, hopefully it won't be how much I spent on the wedding
I'm hoping he cries when he sees me in my wedding dress coming down the aisle. But since we're taking pics beforehand, the likelihood of that happening is pretty minimal. Maybe I can pretend to break up with him and see if he cries then....Just kidding! ETA: I should add that we do get along very well because I'm not overly emotional. I don't cry during movies unless an animal gets hurt. But at least I've shed a tear sometime in 8 years!

Ah, let it go ... for the things I've seen those few tears shed for, I wouldn't wish on anyone.
(ETA, that is so not meant in a mean way, if that's how it's reading!

Dh is like that... he NEVER cries... not even when his father passed away when he was 13... BUT, at our wedding, we exchanged our own vows... and while I was doing mine, no one else saw, but he got all teary-eyed and almost lost it... the sweetest moment of my life

Re: Anyone else have a SO who is 'dead inside'?
My Dh has shed a tear or two. He was all teared up while he was making his little speach on bended knee......And one time was when we got into a huge fight, he was drinking and acting like an arse.... he thought I was gonna leave him for it, he cried like a baby.

DH did cry at our wedding, which I was shocked because he is pretty numb to things, never seen him cry before that, he hardly ever gets angry either.edited to say, he actually cried a lot during the ceremony, like he wouldn't stop lol

DH isn't emotional at all. I've seen him get choked up maybe once or twice in the 9 years we've been together. He didn't cry when he saw me in my wedding gown either. I was hoping he would, but he didn't even get teary.

DH got a little teary on the altar, but before then the only time I saw him cry was during the movie Armageddon...and I still make fun of him for it!

Um, I think he cried once when we were dating for only like 6 or 7 months and that was because there was a huge mis-understanding and I told him I didn't know if I wanted to be with him anymore. That was it. He didn't even cry when he found out his mother had cancer. Nothing. But that's ok, it's his way and I can't knock it.

That's awesome!!! LMAO Tell him all the NWR people will make fun of him for it too
Just kidding--it was a little sad at the end where Liv Tyler is saying goodbye to her 'dad' Bruce Willis. But that's what got him to crack?!? Hmm, maybe I need to put that in the DVD player when I get home.... wc--I didn't read it like that at all! I know what you meant

LOL...it kind of took me by surprise - I mean, Armageddon?? It wasn't even that good a movie.
But it does make me wonder if every guy has a movie that will reduce him to tears, or at least sniffles...

Re: Anyone else have a SO who is 'dead inside'?
Ok_ I have a confession- My FH cries all the time- when he sees something that moves him, when he is upset about something very serious, - I don't mean sobbing tears but definately gets choked up. I don't get it since I am the dead inside one. It has taken me a while to to get used to and it also comes with a down side. He is highly emotional in ALL ways. That includes his explosive temper which isn't too fun to deal with- lucky he rarely gets angry and is usually very even tempered. But the few times I have seen him angry- watch out. The yelling could wake dead people!

Re: Anyone else have a SO who is 'dead inside'?
My hubby cries when the yankees win the world series or when best man (cousin) gave his speech or at a really sad movie. I guess he's not 'dead inside'...but those are the only cases I've witnessed him cry..

What is it with guys and Armageddon?? I dated a guy whose favorite movie was Armageddon, and he cried every time he watched it!!

My FH is the opposite. He cries all the time. Don't let him watch the Lion King unless you want to mop up a puddle!Welcome New Vendors
