OMG you guys are going to get over the 'Domestic Bliss' FH and I have lived to gether for years... It goes away...although when we bought our house 2 yrs ago I was like that again for 6 months... then I am like yeah ok whatever..... BUT now it is all different again this is the first time we have been alone.... Our daughter turned 18 in May and moved out earlier this month... Kinda weird but it's just us now and kind of nice...

Serious ??? WOW I take breaks in the domestic stuff......I have to say I LOVE living with FH couldn't think of anywhere else I would want to be. But as for the Domestic Bliss... I hate cleaning always did always will but as for cooking dinner every night and doing all that it is my favorite thing to do, we have dinner, we watch TV then go to bed it's nice... BUT now it's like we are newlyweds with it just being us and our zoo here now....

we make a good team...i don't mind cooking and he doesn't mind doing the laundry.... i love cooking for him because i know he appreciates it and he helps whenever he can...(HA!)..

that's sooooooooooooooo funny!!!!

dave is in appliance sales - it actually helps him to sell better if he knows how to work the machines :)

LOL Chris is in Maintenance @ a Plastics plant... If it is BIG and LOUD he can fix it... Of course alot of his stuff is computerized also.... so he has a computer tell him what to do ... Housework does not come computerized...unfortunately.......

in the beginning it was so fun- now all the cooking and cleaning i need a break i think i will be contacting molly maids

I know what you mean. When DH and I first moved in, I loved it. Now, 3 and a half years later, it is a bit much. I HATE folding laundry and get sick of making dinner.

same here - it doesnt help that we have the smallest kitchen ever! i think that once we have a house with a big kitchen ill enjoy cooking again - right now its hard...in our old apartment i always was cooking for us but we had a full sized kitchen there - in this apartment the kitchen is really tiny so its hard to prepare meals....i think that you love it because its new and exciting - i remember when we first moved in together i think its more exciting in the beginning because its a new experience together....its a good sign that you love it though! some people move in together and hate it! now that could be trouble! but i do love living with FH still (after 3 years) - i wouldnt want to be anywhere else but with him

I am loving it....FH ad I just moved in together 2 months ago....we have gotten into such a great routine and of course now things are a bit hectic with the wedding next week and we are doing less cooking and more ordering out....but i do love it ...glad you are enjoying this time too

i agree the kitchen plays a huge role in my house my kitchen is average (not enough counter space) its a PITA trying to prepare meals I can not wait to move and get the kitchen of my dreams I dont think a kitchen or a closet for that matter could ever be 'too big'

Fh and I are not living together before we get married... I'm really not scared or anything its just that I dont know how to cook... like AT ALL and we are already gonna be strapped for $$$ so we cant be ordering out/eating out everyday :( yea im basically screwed casue I gotta learn to cook within the next 5 weeks!!!

well whats funny is that sometimes its actually cheaper to order....

for instance its cheaper for us to order a pizza for 11 dollars then to buy steaks and make a salad....but if im making sauce and spaghetti that is cheaper than ordering pizza for instance the other day we were going to make tacos - it would have cost us more money to buy everything so we said screw it - lets just go to taco bell - and it was less money so even buying groceries (especially meat) adds up!

It is very fun playing house! I have lived with my FH for almost 6months. I couldn't imagine it any other way!

seriously - dave and i have lived together for 5.5 years and we still LOVE it....

i still get the butterflies in my stomach when i hear his car pull into the driveway...etc..

our first year together was rough - but let me tell you - this first year of marriage has been HEAVEN!!!

I dont know who gets more excited when I hear DH's car alarm beep, me or the dog!!!

I absolutely love love love all the housewife stuff and its been over five months - and I have a feeling I will love it forever!!!



its also kind of easy to keep such a small space clean!!!

AWWW LoL i hope i still feel that way too!! I get so excited when DH comes home too!!!! We have an apartment so its good practice on cleaning because its not the size of a house but its still work!!! But i always loved cooking and cleaning....in fact when i was younger i use to walk around with the windex bottle and tell people i wanted to be a cleaning lady when i grew up!!! Now that idea i got over FAST LOL

Don't worry get some newlywed cookbooks and your good to go!!!! and when you make something resue it the next day for a differnt meal. I made chicken parm the other night but saved some cutlets beforehand and made a grilled chicken salad last night........just try to think of as many ways as you can to use what you buying and youll be surprised how much money you save!!
