anyone else not having an eparty?

anyone else on here not having an eparty? our families are so big we would feel bad inviting some but not others, so we are not going to have one. Plus, we really need to save our money. we will prob just do a small gettogether with the bridal party.

We didnt have one. At Easter, which was soon after we got engaged, my family gave us cards and money and even got a 'congratulations on your engagement' cake. It was nice. Im not big into being the center of attention, so for me, that was all I needed.

It never even occurred to me to have one until my FH's family kept asking if we were. I didn't want to ask my parents to throw one though and don't have the time or resources to throw one myself.

If his family wants to throw us one that is fine, but I have too much to do to think about it!

we didnt have one either. we were going to something kinda casual at my parents house, really just to get our families together....it never happened since our moms couldnt agree-its better off bc i didnt really care for one to begin with. theres tons of other stuff to spend the money and time on!

We didn't... our friends and families are spread out over a few continents, so getting people to come to a wedding will be tricky enough.

We didn't have one. It didn't even come up. Neither of our families do it--a lot of people don't, it's just not in their background. My brother gave us an engagement present and I was like, 'what's this?' Heh. It was sweet of him.

we did not have an e-party
we didnt feel it was necessary, our families have met and shared parties and holidays together several times over and for what it would have cost for someone to throw us a party, it just didnt seem necessary. Those who wanted to give gifts/$ did and it was very generous of them!

ps- Dh proposed the day before christmas eve and the day after-christmas eve we were going to be sharing with both families together anyway...it was a nice celebration time, but not formalized

We didn't have one, none of our friends have, I didn't realize it was so common until I joined this site.

we didn't, my family doesn't do them. The bridal shower was enough of a party, we didn't need 2.
