Not b/c you are allergic to them or had a bad experience with them in the past or nonsense like that but simply b/c you don't like them?

I went to a friend's house to show her my proofs and her stupid, smelly dog (o.k, it wasn't stupid nor smelly) was all over them like it was food. I wanted to smack it (no need to call the aspca, lol!!!!!! )

Seriously, I see so many animal lovers on this site and I just simply don't like them. Anyone else?

ANIMAL LOVERS NEED NOT RESPOND, LOL!!!! You have your own threads on how much you love them already, lol!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. I PRAY my kinds don;t want them b/c I simply will have to say NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ferrets are soooo cute. My sister has one. I don't think she removed 'odor glands' but her house is sooo clean I don't even smell the ferret. She is constantly cleaning him and I always play with him but I don't remember it smelling bad. I guess it depends on the owner.

No different than people who don't wash their hands after using the toilette (also completely disgusting). The only thing is you just don't know it when people do it...You don't know when you are shaking their hands, eating food that they have prepared etc....

Many times animals are cleaner than people.....

I just had to jump in like Lunatrek, and give my animal lovers point of view....sorry!

Latina: I agree I definatly think its the owner. I give mine a bath once a week and I also have this cologne for them I spray them with after their bathes.

Well one of John's friends has to wipe his dog's butt after he goes to the bathroom. He's got so much fur, including around his butt, that he has to be wiped or else the crap is stuck in his fur. I know that's a lovely picture.

You girls are too funny. Here's what I did at Petco when I first moved to NYC (and please keep in mind that I had no clue about the mouse/rat problem in the city):

I was going to pick up some things for the cat when I found a little mouse in one of the aisles. The side of it's head was smashed in but it was still alive running around in circles (someone had obviously tried to kill it, but I did not realize that being naive to the city).

I was very, very upset about this poor smashed mouse. I picked it up (I know, I know--pretty disgusting) and brought it to the manager and made sure they put it in a cage and took care of it. All the employess there thought I was a wacko--Now I know why!!

They probably killed the poor thing after I left----I wonder what they thought of me rescuing the poor vermin--HaHa!!

I do like cats and dogs, and other animals, but it's the owners that really get to me!!

I went to a coworkers house for dinner and as we were sitting at the table eating, her cat walked right over my dinner plate!!! My coworker didn't really react to it quickly, and finally in a very sweet, gentle voice told her to get down (after her hair was probably already in my food) and very gently patted her to move. Her cat was obviously more important to her than my dinner!!

Ok, I'm ready to chime in here with my 'why I'll never get a dog' story.

When I moved in with my first roommate, she had a little Pekinese (sp?) named after a Doors song. Don't ask. Anywho, my first night in the apartment, I was alone because my roomate was away (nice of her to stick me with her dog my first night in the apt..hence the reason I say 'first roommate'). The dog decided to introduce itself to me, prances into my room, makes a complete circle around the room, looks me dead in the eye, barks, and SH$#'S right on the newly cleaned wood floor. He might as well just said 'Welcome to your new apartment, who's the biatch now?'.

I'll never get a dog.
