Not b/c you are allergic to them or had a bad experience with them in the past or nonsense like that but simply b/c you don't like them?
I went to a friend's house to show her my proofs and her stupid, smelly dog (o.k, it wasn't stupid nor smelly) was all over them like it was food. I wanted to smack it (no need to call the aspca, lol!!!!!! )
Seriously, I see so many animal lovers on this site and I just simply don't like them. Anyone else?

I do like cats and dogs, and other animals, but it's the owners that really get to me!!
I went to a coworkers house for dinner and as we were sitting at the table eating, her cat walked right over my dinner plate!!! My coworker didn't really react to it quickly, and finally in a very sweet, gentle voice told her to get down (after her hair was probably already in my food) and very gently patted her to move. Her cat was obviously more important to her than my dinner!!

but honestly, I don't understand why people get pets! you have to look after them and clean them ( whipe thir buts, apparently) and walk them and you can't go on vacation without finding a place for them!
get a child! At least he will grow up and become thinking independant adults! (well, most of them will, at least)

i am SO with you! i don't understand all this animal love. haha im gunna get yelled at for this. i just don't understand how people can be so in love with their pets! i figure if you want to spend that much time and money taking care of something, you might as well have a kid!
oh and i HATE cats ... probably stemming from the fact that my very first accident was because i swerved so as to not hit a damn cat that sat in the middle of the road!

I have a dog, but she's extremely well behaved and well trained.
In general, I like animals BUT....
I can't STAND dogs that jump all over you and nearly knock you over, or scratch you with big claws, or shove their snouts in places only your DH should be shoving his snout.
Birds are too messy! OMG! The seeds and feathers fly ALL over the place. It's disgusting. Not to mention I think it's CRUEL to keep a bird in a cage. Mean, mean, mean!!
As for cats... Well, I like cats and think their cool BUT... I can't stand the smell of the litter, and I am HIGHLY allergic!!
Don't even get me started!! Animals are the reason for the 5 month separation between me and my DH!! (Not his animals or mine...long story). Come on! Loving animals is one thing, but when it interferes with your HUMAN relationships, or the HUMAN relationships of others...it's time for a therapist.

I agree with Xelyndra, if you teach cats from an early age they are SO low maintenance.....I grew up with a dog who was literally the best friend I ever had....who else loves you unconditionally, no matter what, never questions your actions, will listen to you ramble, will cuddle with you when you need it....and defend you forever!!! Aww now I miss her.
edited to say: someone I know in my extended family chews her food and takes it out of her mouth to feed her dogs....now thats taking it too far LOL
