buying a MOB or even a BM dress? If so, what do they plan on doing?
Same here moms dress is not a MOB dress.
I'll be taking my mom and FMIL to a boutique that has fancy dresses but it's not a bridal store. If that doesn't work, then we may look at Macys and/or Lord & Taylor.

my mom didn't go to a bridal store to look at dresses. We went to a few places that sell fancy dresses but they don't carry bm dresses or wedding dresses. However the 2 dresses my mom likes are jovani.
this is the dress i LOVED on her and want her to get. Of course i wouldn't make her get it, i want her to love it too. But she does and loves the color. Were going next weekend to try them on again and maybe look at some new stuff that came out. As you can see its not a typical MOB dress lol
I am not sure what makes a dress a MOB dress...but my mom got her dress today actually at Estelle's in Farmingdale. It is so beautiful. One more thing DONE!

Yeh, I meant something other than a MOB dress. My mom is not even sure she'll be happy enough with her weight to buy a dress, let alone a MOB dress. I was just wondering if any other brides out there are experiencing a similar problem with their mom. WHen I say problem, I DO NOT mean that I have a problem with it....in fact I told her to look for a nice suit set and wear that, if that's what she'll be comfy in. I think that she is hesitant to even look right now because she is still losing weight. I want her to be happy with whatever she goes for.
yeea my mom is going to buy something off the rack, prob look at like macys or something like that, maybe even kohls bc she loves that store!!! haha, well see though, but no, she will not be getting a 'MOB' dress from like a bridal store, as long as she is happy with how she looks im fine with that :)
my mom says shes too young to wear a mob dress..lol...she will prob get a bridesmaid dress...

well my mom didn't buy her dress when we went months ago bc she wanted to lose some weight first, i said find since we still had time. Shes lost some weight now so thats why we're going again. She can do a suit if she wants...theres also other dresses that i think would work well, something like this maybe:
this one has a jacket so would be same coverage on top as a suit
maybe something like this with a small jacket on top
rouching is flattering and minimizes the waist and takes

My mom said that she doubts she will find anything that is 'her' at any bridal boutiques. She can dress a little 'different' (for lack of a better word) than your average 47 year old.![]()
