I called to make appointments for florists, since they are next on my list. The florist said 'oh, your wedding isnt for 1.5 years and I know you brides your going to change your mind at least 3 times....I usually have a 2 hr consultation and with your wedding being sooooo late I would HAVE to charge you, she then followed that with I know you brides and you probabky have no idea what you want or your colors or swatches.
I wanted to tell her thanks for knowing me so well, I have pretty much everything done except this.
I said thanks and would give her call (NOT!).
I would expect someone who wants your business wouldnt be rude (you should have heard the distaste in her tone by me wasting her time)....
anyway.....anyone else encounter rude vendors???

Re: Anyone experience a rude vendor?
Nobody that i've booked has been rude to me but some have. I had an appt with a photographer but before i went to see them i saw my photographer and fell in love with their work. So i thought i was doing the right thing by cancelling the appointment but the woman i spoke to said why are you cancelling. I said because i booked with someone else and she said 'Thats a shame' WHAT THE F***! I couldn't believe her. Thank god i didn't book with them.

GEE it sounds like you called the same florisdt I did and I am not going with them. If you are rude to me, that's it you lose my business.

Re: Anyone experience a rude vendor?
Unfortunately, when wedding planning you will see the good/bad side of people. Don't know why people feel like they know better than you. Just take it has a blessing that this side of her came out now then later had you booked them

That really *****...but I would think that you are better off not booking with her...she probably would have been miserable to deal with and shes the one who lost out and not you!

Re: Anyone experience a rude vendor?
My wedding was over a year and a half away when I booked with Burtons and she didn't say any of that (Bobbi) I HIGHLY recommend them- its only $50 to reserve the date CALL THEM and save yourself the stress

Re: Anyone experience a rude vendor?
WOW what a b*tch. I booked my florist about 14-15 months before the wedding and they didn't have a problem with it. Infact i spoke to them at a bridal show and they told me if i wanted to come in soon for an appointment.
Better off she showed you her true colors now. Better to book someone who wants your business and doesn't see you as a burden, if you want to change your flowers 3x that shouldn't be a problem, youre paying for it and should have exactly what you want, god forbid they have to do work

Re: Anyone experience a rude vendor?
most of my vendors have been amazingly nice and very very very accommodating (since FH and I are usually OOT). However, one person at one of my vendors was very rude to us, although when i called back to talk to the person I usually deal with she was very accommodating. Also, a lot of dress shops were rude, pushy, or blatantly lied to us.
Be glad this person showed their true colors early so you can avoid them.

Re: Anyone experience a rude vendor?
Yes I find that rudest vendors I had to deal with were florist. When I tried to make an appt with one florist in December they said the same thing 'your wedding is so far away Did you even pick a place? ' Why would i be looking for a florist if i did not find a RH moran?? I did not bother going to that appt.
