anyone feel like they don't know anyone on these boards?

i know i have not been around too long, but i feel as though sometimes my posts are ignored. sometimes when i need support i felt it was not there.

i also sometimes feel like no one even knows i am here.....

I feel like I know Stef, but that's about it. Hey, there's a lot of people here and it's hard to tell us apart sometimes. I appreciate any responses I get, and I think in general everyone is very supportive and helpful.

I understand how you feel, I feel transparent here most of the time.

I am sorry if I don't respond to all of your posts - once in a while I have nothing to say or someone else took the words out of my mouth.

I would love a scrapping GTG- you are one of my scrapping buddies:D

I may know where the area is once it's explained, but not by name alone. I'm assuming it's in Long Island...

That's like me asking everyone here if they know where Kensington is. (It's in Brooklyn)

I think everyone feels that way at one point or another - maybe it's just one drawback of all 'chatting' online and not in person.

What bothers me is how often ppl will FM me questions, I go out of my way to answer in full detail, and I don't get as much as a thank you reply! Time and time again that becomes really frustrating Do they appreciate my replies? Hope so but who knows!

Lisa Rose...I'm sorry to say I'm not!!

I usually ask people what exit off of the Southern State...that's the only thing I'm familiar with when it comes to L.I.

I know how to get to the cementary and my catering hall...and I still get lost doing that!!

I also hardly ever get to post during the day, and the times I am on, I have like 3 minutes, and I mostly read.....

Right now I am sneaking in posts from work adn I am sure to be nailed for it!!

I feel the same way at times, but I do understand that not everyone has an answer or may feel awkward to respond if they don't really know me.

I always appreciate who ever responds to my posts and I will try and make an effort to post on the more importatn issues when I can.

cat, I live in Bensonhurst too and I have gone to all the LIW GTGs. LIW is working on a new one maybe you can make it.

I too feel transparent, which is just the way I like it. Especially since one day (long, long ago) I got a couple snotty comments from the Peanut Gallery... I just decided I was better off reading than posting.

Although I *have* dubbed myself the unofficial LIW Thread 'Ender'. I've noticed that sometimes when I do decide to chime in and post, the 'conversation' simply ends there. Very amusing....

I totally understand the feeling. I can't post as much as I would like to because my computer at home s*cks and I have to be sneaky about it at work. But also I'm not from NY so I don't know where anything is...so I can't contribute to many of the questions asking for recommendations or help with stuff like that. Plus, I'm sure I'll never be able to make it to a GTG or even meet anyone so I defiantly feel like an outsider sometimes…but I still enjoy coming on here and contributing when I can.
