i know i have not been around too long, but i feel as though sometimes my posts are ignored. sometimes when i need support i felt it was not there.

i also sometimes feel like no one even knows i am here.....

Mishandgerard I feel the same way. I would like to post more myself but my brother is always tying up the computer so I only post at Fi's house. BriarRose I feel the same way as you I only post when I feel I truly have something to contribute, and only when it's something nice. I'm sure probably everybody has felt left out at some point, but as time goes on, you find more things to post about. I haven't really started on the little details of my wedding until recently, so I am sure I will be posting with many more questions very soon.

If it makes you feel any better, I have been on this board for three years and I don't really know anyone either. It's simply because I'm just not as active on these boards as others. I have limited time while I'm at work because I'm usually swamped. When I get home I'm just too busy with other things to sit at the computer. The get togethers are the only chance I have to truly get to know people and since I've only been to two, I have yet to form a true offline friendship.

Another reason is that like BriarRose and Kate, I usually only respond to a post when I can truly be helpful, and I don't respond to a lot of the chattier posts. That's just the way it is.

I would love to attend more get togethers. Week nights are best for me. I live in Centereach but work in Port Washington so I'm pretty flexible as far as location since I'm driving through more than half the island on my way home anyway.

I'll keep my eye out for the next one.

Jenn P, we've been around here for a loooong time together! I always felt a bond with you, as being 2 of the VERY few July 2001 brides.
Even though I only met you once, I DO feel like I 'know' you, and I always enjoy reading your posts.

Ladies we contribute when we can and add something of value to what you post. You are no less a member than any other, some people have more exciting things that gets people going so that post might get a lot more responses. Don't take it personal

Mish...I totally understand what you mean, I have felt that way too....in fact I felt the very same way the other night. I just learned not to dwell on it and move on....if I need an answer quick about something and the boards are slow or whatever I pick up the phone and call my married friends! lol

i will start a post and then later on someone else starts the same post and everyone posts on the other thread. it's like 'hey, whats wrong with my thread!'

Sometimes I feel as though I'm in school and the cool girls won't let me play with them!

i think that is my biggest problem. they only seems to answer each other. I am not saying everyone does, but maybe this is why people leave us

LOL I was always a super quiet and shy kid in school....and I feel like I had a rough childhood in terms of dealing with bullies etc..but I got to a certain point probably sometime in collge, where I learned that if I am not included in the 'reindeer games' who gives a f***? LOL seriously...life is too short!

But let me say I truly do love LIW and there are some awesome people on here. I haven't made it to a GTG but would love to go to the next one!

I used to feel that way, but the more I post, the more I feel like I'm getting to know certain people. Sometimes I get a few responses, other times a lot . It really depends on the subject and who can relate to it at that time. I really don't take it personally.

I haven't been to any of the GTGs, and that definitely makes a BIG difference. People are more likely to respond to you if they have actually met you in person.

I'm not sure I would say there are 'clicks' on here, but it's more that girls who have met and share an outside friendship, tend to stick together and respond to each other. I don't see anything wrong with it. A click is more like a group that won't LET you participate. I don't see any of that here.

I can't really say it bothers me if I don't get a lot of responses. It's just not important to me. I find usuall the same group of girls tend to respond to my posts, and it seems that they are the ones who I 'click' with best, and who I'd like to meet someday.

If I walked into a party of 300 people, I certainly wouldn't expect to be friends with EVERYBODY or have EVERYBODY come over and acknowledge me. I think it's the same for the boards.

But that's JMHO.

I used to live on Greenwood, from 85-86, and then from 95-2000.

I love Windsor Terrace! But we're moving in one month to Kings Park :(
