I'm getting into awful fights with my mom, my inlaws about everything with the wedding. Who to invite, being classless, rehearsal dinner, etc...... I'm in the mood to take a flight to somewhere nice and get hitched but I have a deposit at my RH already. Anyone else get this feeling?

O yea!! I've def gone through ALL of that when I started planning. Its gonna be stressful for a lil while but I started not telling them about my plans and doing things on my own, the less my parents/FIL know the less stressful for me. Obv you don't want to be rude but if they ask just explain you know what your doing and dont need the stress of all their opinions. I have to say now that a few months have passed and the initial excitement of the engagement has passed and I keep the planning to myself, the wedding talk has died down and things are easier for me. It gets overwhelming when you're trying to book your major vendors and have soo many ppl putting their 2 cents in. Keep things between you and FH and you have to know that no matter what someone is Always gonna have an opinion so just let it go in one ear and out the other. DO WHATEVER MAKES YOU HAPPY!

I think FH and I have had an argument at least once a week (well we used). Now I just don't tell him things ha. But I'm getting into arguments with my mom over guestlists and my 'no children' rule which she hates plus she's inviting all these people. And FMIL thinks I'm spending too much money and that I'm not asking her for help! So between that and tracking down vendors, reworking my budget, bridesmaids who are all moving away this year, I think I've broke down a couple of times already.

I tried that and now I get forced advice on me or 'why haven't u asked for help' questions! U know what destresses me...wine! Hahahaha

You will learn quickly that you can possibly please everyone. So do whats is best for you and your FH.. everything else will fall into place!

I definitely hear ya!! My fmil thinks this is her wedding - she has something to say about EVERY part of the planning process and it's usually the opposite of what I want!! FH and I haven't really spoken to her in like 2 weeks because we said we were done with all her demands lol it gets to a point where you just have to say enough!!!! It is our wedding after all. Yes I'm working 70+ hour weeks now until April...I'm falling behind on planning. If one more person asks me 'oh...you did book that yet???' I'm going to POP!

Yes, I have had a couple of nervous breakdowns Here and there but in the end it is you and your FH, so do what makes you happy. Everyone will just have to deal with it.

Yes!!! I've had to take several wedding planning breaks. And like others said stop telling people your plans. You cannot please everyone. Unless you have millions of dollars and can add everyones suggestions just accept people will be upset over something!
Oh and just the other day a coworker asked me some wedding questions. And apparently they didn't agree with my plans (specifically a Friday wedding ) and I told them point blank you get engaged and try to plan a wedding and then we'll talk! Ugh people! !!!
