anyone go WAYYYY over budget.

I was talking to FH and we were saying how we went about 5-8K over what we thought. And not to sound greedy but you knwo we are never going to make it all back.

Anyone else??

What's a budget???

We sort of backed into our expenses and only spent what we had or planned to save in time for the wedding so we were ok in that reguard. BUT one day I added up everything and my stomach fell to the floor.

When we saw what prices were like we put all plans on hold. The big decision now is should we try to work on a tight budget and go for Sept 05 or should we postpone for Aug 06 and get really crazy and have the wedding of our dreams....If only we could hit the lottery!!

We didnt have a budget and started fallign in love with expensive thing - then we set a budget and then we went way over budget - so i know the feeling

Once I noticed we were going over, we pulled back a little. We're slightly over... not even $1G. However, that doesn't include apartment nor furniture... OUCH!

For wedding related expenses, we are only gonna go over about 1400, but when we add in moving expenses.. well that's another story..

I agree with the other's, budget? what budget?? lol

We were a little loose when it came to setting a budget, but I had a general idea of what I THOUGHT we would spend . . .

I guess you know by now that we are WAY over that amount . . .

(You mean we are actually supposed to have money LEFT for a PLACE TO LIVE???? JK)

If this isn't counting the honeymoon, we're about $6,000 over what I have figured.

If it counts the honeymoon, we're about $16,000 over!!! Forgot to Budget for the honeymoon!!!

We're trying to avoid using credit cards, because then it feels like 'play money' and I start to use the cash elsewhere on little 'upgrades'.

We went over budget by about $5K.... most of that was deliberate because halfway through we came into some extra cash and decided to beef up our HM, but the rest -- OUCH!! And now, it's like a disease... I can't stop myself... I keep wanting to add things and I hear an evil little voice in the back of my head going 'So what? What's a couple hundred bucks more when you're already spending thousands?!'

The best line in the back of my head is 'so what if it's a little more than expected? IT'S OUR WEDDING DAY!.... then splurge, splurge, splurge... we're claiming bankruptcy.... lol.
