I need to make some kind of a Steak dish for Daddy, but I don't know the first thing about cooking steak. He's coming to our apt. for the first time on Sunday.

do you have a grill?? Steak on the grill is the best. You can marinate it overnight then throw it on the next day!! YUMMY!!

They sell sooo many different steak marinades in the supermarket---I personally love the honey teryiaki 10 minute marinade. NIce and quick!

I marinate mine in either zesty italian salad dressing or BBQ sauce that I water down a little

You can marinate it in a balsamic mix which is good
olive oil Balsamic vinegar Onions (chopped up) salt pepper
Then you can grill or broil the steak

I marinade overnight for about 8 - 10 hours (even more if I have the time).
I tenderize steak with the roller-hole-poking thingy... that way it really s u c k s in the juices.
Then I take a nice strong burgundy wine, mix in some roasted garlic, a extra little virgin olive oil, some lemon salt, pepper & some brown sugar - just a touch. If I want it with a little kick, I also add cloves or horseradish.
Then after it has been sitting for about 5 hours, I ad a touch of warmed honey to the edges... it helps to hold in the juices & adds a bit of sweetness.
