We are looking into getting one and I'm just starting to do some research on them.
What kind do you have? What do you like/not like about it? Are they like SUVs with the horrendous gas mileage?
Thanks

Sorry ladies, I wasn't trying to imply driving an SUV was better status wise or that driving a mini van labeled you in any way.
Nah I didnt think you were. I got off on a 'demystifying the minivan stigma' analysis, like I said whatever works for the individual is what counts. We're lucky to have the choices today - like your parents didnt have with 6 in tow.
Liz, I couldn't agree more! Having the choice to get something that fits your wants, style or budget is most important. I still can't believe as a kid I would roll around in the back space of the station wagon - no seat or anything. Just in the space behind the second seat!

I My kiddo is 26 lbs and quite hard to get into the middle of the back seat of our Explorer. Yes Im preggo so that doesnt help but I'm also 5'7' so I can only imagine how someone smaller does it. Even when I was not preggo, I use to have to climb into the back to get him in there.
question... why does the car seat have to go in the middle? I was planning on putting it behind a seat, I can't? I am 5'7' as well and love how I won't have to bend down to put the baby in the carseat.
BTW, I will stick with my SUV (i hate to even call it that cause it really doesn't seem as large as most )... actually I would love it if they brought those snazzy station wagons back!
