ANYONE HAVE PROBLEMS WITH

The length of their pants. That is always my cry, the same for shirts, the sleeves are always too short. I wear size 10 but I always have to get a size 12 or size 14 pants just to get the length and then I have to get them taken in.

Does anyone have recommendations for tall girls for pants and shirts, affordably?? The only place that I have been lucky with is Ann Taylor.

I haven't been there in years but I think Lerners has tall length & so does Express.
I have the same problem.

I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have to get my pants hemmed!!!

Unless of course I buy shorts... sometimes those are too short!!! I just can't wait for capri weather... no more pants problems!

I think Express has LONG length, Ann Taylor too!

OH DUH!!! both places were mentioned already

I have the same problem but in reverse. I have short legs but the petites are not quite long enough - only by an inch So I have to get regular and have them altered.

Often online stores will have Tall size ranges where the physicla store might not.

I have such a problem with pants. I always have to get the Long length. I had some luck at Express and Ann Taylor. But sometimes I have to buy a size bigger...then DH complains that the butt is too baggy.

Shamma, I have the opposite problem. All pant legs and shirt sleeves are too LONG. Ann Taylor and Petite Sophisticate are my very expensive saving grace.

Lets go shopping together and buy the same clothes at affordable places!!! I will have the extra length chopped off of mine and give it to you to add length to yours

Gap also has tall sizes. The problem I have with their pants is that the ankle length is too short for me and the regular length is too long.

I have this problem all the time and I am not that tall (5'8'). I love having long legs - don't get me wrong - but I hate going clothes shopping because of it. It is very frustrating. They also think if you wear a smaller size - you are short and that is not true!!! Sometimes inseams will change by as much as 2 inches when you go from a 6 to an 8 (depends on the mfg).

I have had luck with most Express-Longs. BR and Gap and stuff are typically too short -even the long lengths. Gap use to sell Extra Longs on their website and sometimes Longs that are actually Long-but not for all their style pants - not sure if they still do. Ann Taylor is pick 'em for me.

The worst for me is suits. I have to wear business suits to work everyday and I hardly wear pantsuits which I prefer because they are too hard to find.

I wear regular size pants as capri's sometimes!

Banana too- I have the same problem- and Banana tall (Express- Gap- Ann Taylor) all fit perfectly. Check them out- they've got great sales too- everything will go on sale 2 weeks after you first see it

Becky you are too funny When we do find the right length they are prcey as all get out I do go to Lerners but they did not have enough winter pants, the pants were not lined enough for me. I prefer their stretch pants, but when you want to dress up you cannot wear those.

I have this problem ALL THE TIME and it drives me nuts... sometimes I buy pants that are long enough in the store and after 1 trip to the dry cleaners, all of a sudden they're a little shorter...

I'll spend almost anything on pants - sometimes I get so deparate!!

I also have problems with length, everything is too long and like Becky said, Ann Taylor and J.Crew has petite sizes, but they are expensive!

The worst is trying to find petite maternity pants! Not doing well in that department so far.

Don't even get me started on length!

And I hate shopping for tops. My 'boobies' make it impossible to find anything.

So when something fits, I buy one in every color or a few of them! If nothing fits...I buy jewelry or home goods! (Then I don't have to worry about it fitting!)

Shamma--I have to SAME problem!! I wear men's jeans Levis 501 inseam 36' and can only buy pants at Ann Taylor!!

I get my jeans from AEROPOSTALE and the GAP. My slacks are from Lerners, Limited and the Gap. I have very long legs, and wouldn't even attempt to buy regular pants.
