My min is 50 guests and I doubt I would invite more than 55 or 60 people. FH and I come from very small families (we are both 'only' children) and most of my extended family (beyond my parents) is from another country in South America. I'm also not inviting people from work because I would rather keep my work life and personal life separate.

So it will definitely be a small wedding, I had trouble finding appropriate catering halls because many of them wanted me to invite 100 people.

Mine is going to end up being a small wedding, but it wasn't 'supposed' to be. We currently have 184 invited, a 125 minimum, and only 57 coming with 97 still yet to respond. Of that 97, 75% are OOT...like hardcore OOT, Florida, Carolinas, etc...so definitely not going to come.

My projected total based on everyone saying yes that I think will say yes, and everyone saying no that I think will say no will be around 90 people.

We are - our minimum is 100 so I'm hoping we make it and I really can't afford to go over it by that much!!

I have the same situation! I'm sending my invites out early and only inviting about 100, and then sending out to my B list until I have 100 yeses!

Hi everyone, I'm new to the board. We actually dont even have a date set, but when I joined I had to put a wedding date in. Nell, I notice that you are having your wedding at the Foxhollow. I had called them today to inquire and they seemed very reasonable with what I'm looking for. I'm trying to keep our wedding at no more that 110 guests. I'm also looking to get ready at the hall with the ceremony and accomodations onsite or nearby. Does anyone have any other suggestions besides foxhollow? So far that seems to be working for us. Thanks

Did you ladies intentionally decide to have a small wedding??

How are you planning on cutting your guestlist?
I know many will be offended but @ the end of the day, its me and the FH.... not 200+ folks

FH and I have small families (neither of is have siblings) and we aren't extremely close with co-workers or acquaintances to have them on our guest list.

We plan on inviting at least 60 people to meet our minimum of 50 guests. The more people come, the more expensive it gets...I love small intimate weddings - it makes the day seem more special somehow.
