My fiance and I are looking to book Mark Elliot Music for our 08 wedding. We really enjoyed meeting with him and he played at our friends wedding last year and they were GREAT!! However we also need a Greek band to play as well. Marc told us that he has played with Fotis Gionis' band (not sure if spelling right) at several Greek weddings. He is going to try and get us a demo or find out where their next performance is so we can go see. Has anyone ever heard this person before???

Never heard of him before but you should try Powerstation or Delta. They are really good.

Hmmmm. I keep seeing that name all over. Do you know their website? Are they a band or DJ? Do they mainly do Greek music or are they more American? The thing is that we would rather have a band that is American but can also provide authentic Greek music as well. It's been really tough. We just booked an appt. with Vali Music. Apparently they have what we are looking for but they all seem to say that................

I wish I could find the same as well. Doesnt seem that way though. I think I am going to have a regular band...and provide them w/ some greek music on CD to play at some pt during the night. My FH's dad is greek, so we need to do this... even though neither of us have any idea what songs to pick. Anyone have suggestions for MUST play songs?

My FH is Greek and his family is pretty traditional. I know that there are several traditional dances that usually take place. I will check with him and his family to find out what they are called. We have been together for 11 years this month so I have attended many Greek functions and my experience is that the dancing can actually be a lot of fun even for people who aren't familiar with it. I'll get back to you on some names.

i've never heard of them. i booked Delta. but ther is alsoa band called Mylos Entertainment. both within the same price range
