I got the cartoon character Goofy on my hip...thank goodness the guy was talented and knew exactly where to put it so it is covered by bathing suits and underwear....
just think very very hard...its 10 years old now and very faded

butterfly on my lower back - I love it, but I did put it there partly because I wouldn''t have to look at it every day, so I won''t get sick of it.

yes I have 3. My first was on my calf (7 years old) its a beautiful orchid with 3 vines hanging from it, granted a little bigger than I wanted but nice, my second is on my lower back (oh so original, 5 years old) its a tribal heart with an eternal flame coming from it (in memory of my grandmothers) and my 3rd and last is Kangi symbols on my lower ab ( 3 years old) which symbolize (tee heee) Princess
I''ll admit it hurts when the outline is being done but by the time you get to the color the area is numb its not that bad

I have 2 right now and plan on getting 3 more.
My first was in may 96 on my ankle of a rose. It symbolized dramatic change in my life(broke up with boyfriend and he always said i was not allowed to have one)
My second is (8/00)of 4 dolphins in a yin yang on my back right shoulder. My best friend and I got the same one together.
I have no regrets about either of them.

I have 3 - all black.
First one is a Kanji character for 'woman' on my ankle - 12 years old.
Second are 2 Kanji characters representing 'inner strength' on my spine, lower back - 6 years old.
Third is a tribal spiral design going up my left ribcage (about 3 inches long) - 3 or 4 years old.
Of them, only the third one hurt - and it hurt reeeaaaalllllllll bad.
Want to get a fourth on the inside of my left wrist...maybe a celtic wedding knot or something.

Mine is a tribal butterfly on my lower back. It really only hurts while it''s getting done. Then I had pins and needles off and on for a day or 2.

Yes, it is on my lower back so I sometimes forget I have one. I love it though. It is two Japanese symbols meaning Angel.

I also have one on my lower back - its only visible when I want it to be (like when I'm in a bikini) and I don't regret it (got it at 21 - 8 years ago).
its an angel fish (my parents used to call me their little golden angel fish - they were NOT honored that I got a tattoo based on their nickname)
I think I still like it only because I can't see it. I sometimes forget its there. If I had to see it everyday, I'd be tired of it.
and yes, it hurt.

I have two. Japanses symbol for FORCEFUL on my low middle back
Chinese symbol for Treasure on my hip..
The one on my back took an 1hour and change and HURT the ENTIRE time.. the one on my hip was pain free..

If you are considering a tattoo PLEASE really think about it!!! Make it something that you truly believe in!!! I know so many people who regret what they got. Also make sure that you go to a person that comes highly recomended! I''ve seen so many bad tattoo''s! I knew a guy who got something misspelled on his arm & it''s forever there!!!

I have 9 (yes 9, and 3 more to go) I have 2 fleur de lis on my toes I have a chameloen on my ankle I have a baby dragon hatching from its egg on my thigh I have the translation of my name as a japanese symbol on my chest I have a symbol from the crow on the small of my back I have a tribal across my waistband (FH is getting this tattooed on his ring finger & we got our wedding bands fabricated to match it. I have a native american fetish near my shoulder I have very large angel wings on my back.
ETA: I got my first one when I was 17 & I covered it with part of my angel wings. Now I carefully contemplate every design for at least a year before I ink it up. I also draw my own tattos, so I sit & tweak them if there is something I don't like about the design until I love it 110%

I got my first one when I was 18. It is a butterfly on my hip. I got the next one when I was 19. It is a really cool 'flower' on my ankle. That was 3 years ago, I am dying to get another one. They are addicting.

Yes I do! I have 2. I have one on my lower back of 2 butterflies kissing and on my left ankle I have a celtic cross with a shamrock in the middle of it. The only one I regeret is the one on my ankle. It is way to big and I think it makes my legs look fat and man like
I have a tribal on my lower back with a shamrock in the middle and a shamrock on my hip. I a going back for another one, but I am not sure of what yet.
