anyone here order elum invitations?

looking at the brand 'elum' and their letterpress invitations, and i'm just wondering if anyone here has used this maker? is it worth the money? they seem really pretty but i've heard mixed reviews of letterpress invites. just wondering....thanx!

I started looking at letterpress invitations yesterday. I really like them because the quality is much heavier. From what I saw though, I thought the designs were quite plain, which was disappointing. I didn't see the elum selection, so I may look for them.

they do seem heavier, but i read a comment about william authur (?) invites that one bride ordered that she had letterpressed and it looked like thermography.

thermogrphy should feel similar to engraving on the fon - the indent - but on the back it is smooth where engraving you feel the impressions

i didn't know that! THANKS! good way to check the samples and whatnot. really appreciate the help...the invites are next on my list of todos and i feel a little overwhelmed with the choices out there.

One of my friends got letterpress invitations from Oblation and they were gorgeous!! Not plain at all, they have a lot of beautiful designs. They have a website with everything on it.

I haven't priced out elum but I have checked out -

Marsville letterpress
Piccolo Press
Dauphine Press
Word & Kern
SoHo Letterpres (sort of check out - called over a doze times, faxed & emailed - never got ANY response)
Fond Regards
Bella Figura
&
Page Letterpress

I know that Boxcar, Bellatera, William McArthur, Julie Holcomb...list goes...also do them.

I REALLY like letterpress (in case you hadn't guessed that

) Is elum expensive?? FM if you want info on any of the places I looked at!
