Hi everyone! I'm new to LI Weddings and need some advice....
I have my heart set on including my two dogs in my August 09' wedding. (My fiance' included them in the proposal, so why not the wedding? lol) I am still in the process of looking at halls, and most seem pretty accomodating to allow me to bring my dogs for an outdoor reception....
However, I recently visited Jericho Terrace, and fell in love with it - but they don't do outdoor ceremonies, so that means no dogs unless I can find somewhere else that will allow me to hold just the ceremony for about 130pp....and will allow me to include the dogs.
I looked at planting fields arboretum, but they only allow 40pp for an outdoor ceremony, and Old Westbury Gardens will not allow the dogs...
Has anyone been able to pull-off including their dogs in their ceremony? and if so...how did you do it? Where can we go?

I had an outdoor ceremony and had my dog walk down the aisle in a tuxedo and top hat.
If it were to rain, and the ceremony was inside i doubt we would of been able to have our dog participate.
I also included his pic in my thank you card!!!

When I was looking at Sans Souci, they told me my dog could do that too! But they couldn't have her running around inside. We'd have to leave her in the bridal suite or have someone take her home. It's too much of a hassle.

I asked the same question when I booked Nassau County Museum of Art. They will allow it for the ceremony but not for the reception. If someone can be in charge of them then they said by all means bring them along~

yea my Rh will only allow my doggie at the ceremony and then someone has to take her home which is a half hour away- Plus she might freak with all the people- so we decided to include her by making her our table #'s- check out my cute baby!!!!
But I haven't heard great things about the food at Swan Club....can anyone comment on this?
I had a tasting and went to one of their showcases and the food was very good both times! I have no doubt that they will make my wedding perfect!

OMG. that is the CUTEST thing ever. im SOOOOOOOOOOO copying you lol.
i think this might be liek a repeating element in my wedding. im planning to use my baby on the STDs and make a donation to a humane society instead of favors.
ur baby is SO cute btw.

oh jeez... that is so funny that you wanna include your dogs in the ceremony. If they're well behaved then why not! I always used to say that my dog would be my ring bearer. I had this little idea to attach a small pillow to his back and have him walk down the aisle. But that all changed when i realized how difficult he is to train. Knowing him, he would just take off with the pillow & fake rings and we'd never hear from him again. lol.

no, my hall didn't allow it but I superimposed what it would look like if I did include my dog in my ceremony
