Re: anyone know a nice ceremony location near Floral Terrace- Floral Park, NY

I am just looking for a nice location. The pastor that I am using her church is too small to fit all my guests. So I just want a nice location b/c no churchs are renting the space out if they don't do the ceremony. I want her to do it for me.

Re: anyone know a nice ceremony location near Floral Terrace- Floral Park, NY

ur using ur pastor and are just looking for a church correct?

i'm guessing our lady of victory off tulip is too small?

I know some churches do allow you to bring in your own priest... don't bring it up as renting.

Check out St. Boniface church in elmont on elmont rd right by the Hs. its about 5 min from floral park.
Or... blessed sacrament in valley stream (about 10 min from floral park tops!)

Re: anyone know a nice ceremony location near Floral Terrace- Floral Park, NY

Maybe Sands Point Preserve which isnt that far. There are also a lot of country clubs in Manhasset and Port Washinton which have gorgeous mansions on the property, I would check them out.

Re: anyone know a nice ceremony location near Floral Terrace- Floral Park, NY

I'm looking for somewhere to have a ceremony. I have tried calling some churchs but they said they don't rent to people who want to use their own pastors. The main pastor would have to do it. My old church in NY holds 80 ppl comfortably. I am having 100 guests maybe more. If I anyone knows a church that rents please let me know I am open to other locations such as parks, mansions...a place with a gazebo would be nice

Roslyn Pond Park is pretty and kinda close. It has a gazebo and I know you can take pictures there without a fee...but I have no clue how they work out ceremonies.

Re: anyone know a nice ceremony location near Floral Terrace- Floral Park, NY

Thanks for posting this question, I am in a similar boat and asked about this on the FT thread. We are having our reception at the FT but don't want to use the ceremony room there- we are looking to do an OUTDOOR ceremony locally (not in a church, we aren't religious). We originally looked into Sands Point Preserve- but they only do ceremones WITH a reception. There are some parks in the area of FT, I am going to look into those but people have said its tough to get a permit. There are two arbitoriums, but both are kinda far.

WOrst case scenario, we'll use the FT ceremony room, but I really had my heart SET on an outdoor wedding. I'll let you know if I find anything!

Sands Point, I spoke to them a few weeks back. They said you need to have the reception there in order to do a ceremony there. I was bummed bc it looked beautiful.

Re: anyone know a nice ceremony location near Floral Terrace- Floral Park, NY

Okay, I am officially retarded. The place I spoke with was the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow. I'm sorry, all these places are starting to sound the same to me, lol.

A great list I used with some links, including the arbitorium, planting feilds, NYIT center, etc

Best of luck on your appt. with Sands Point, definitely let me know how it goes!
