We are only going to be able to go away for the weekend for our 1 yr anniversary later this month. For years we have been talking about visiting the wineries out on LI and DH was thinking that this would be a nice time to do it. Does anyone have any information or suggestions about where to stay or visit?TIA.

i love the vineyards out east especially pindar and some weekends they have live music which is great because you can buy a bottle of wine and go outside and drink and listen to the music. they usually close between 5-6 on most days i think.
edited to say that you can go shopping at tanger the outlets and there are good places to eat in rivergead and greenport and mattituck. i like claudios in greenport its right on the water

i LOVE the wineries... my friend has stayed at the shady lady inn... i think it's in greenport... but I think it's expensive...

get a limo and do a whole day of each of the wineries with tastings this way you dont have to worry about drinking and driving!
