Hi--i only just realized this board exists! It probably would have saved me a lot of stress!1 Oh well, better late than never!

I am going to Hawaii for my honeymoon & (call me crazy! but) I am self booking my honeymoon.

****I am debating on my Kauai choice of hotel specifically but would like opinions on all!! ***I am debating between the Marriott in Lihue (Kauai) and The Sheraton Resort in Poipu- (Kauai)---Thanks

If anyone knows of or has been to these hotelsplease post any info!

Oahu --The Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort and Spa (Mountain View Room)

Kauai --The Marriott Resort and Beach Club
(Garden View Room)

Maui-- The Hyatt Regency --(Deluxe OCean View)

Advice appreciated!!

definately the marriot in lihue rather than the sheraton in poipu.

we orignially booked the sheraton, but then heard bad things about it and our TA strongly recommended we change to the marriot.

the marriot was AMAZING! you can check out my HM review for pics, etc

I stayed at both Hyatts in Maui and Kaui. They where both great.

If you are going to Kaui, I would choose the Hyatt. It is fantastic and the pool can't be beat. We hardly even went to the beach, since the pool was so great.

Sorry can't help you with the other hotels.

We went to the same islands you are considering. The only other suggestions I would give you is to only go to two islands. We went to three and it was just too much moving around. Everytime you go to another islands you have to pack everything up, travel the airport, fly, pick up your new rent a car. It is just too much!!! I would choose Kaui and Maui. Of course it is up to you!!

Also, I was going to book my honeymoon myself, since I always book my own vacations, but I decided against it. I found a wonderful travel agent and she did everything for us, including rent a cars, hotels, interisland flights. It saves you so much time and hassle and costs you nothing. I used Dawn Honyemoon specialist. She is on the vendor board.
Hawaii is the best place I have ever traveled too, you will love it!!!

We just booked the Hyatt at Kaui and Maui (which includes a free buffet breakfast). I heard great stuff about both hotels.
