Anyone Make Cones for Rose Petals?

Getting down to the wire (8 days!) and you ladies are always so helpful. Anyone make cones to hold rose petals for guests to toss on our way out? I'm wondering what you've made them out of (or seen them made out of if you've seen them at other people's weddings) and how the heck you held them together! Thanks.

Anyone Make Cones for Rose Petals?

Gina I made them-- so easy to do -- we sued 81/2 X 11 paper and printed on the corners and cut in half--sounds confusing but it is not-- we used lightly colored paper with roses and then rolled them up-- does that make sense? Laura

Anyone Make Cones for Rose Petals?--Laura

Did you tape the ends on the inside or did you staple it to keep it from unrolling?

Anyone Make Cones for Rose Petals?

My sister in law used victorian round doylees (sp?) and then shaped them like a cone and placed a little glue to make them hold the shape. They looked really great--I am going the same at our May wedding.

Anyone Make Cones for Rose Petals? Long.

We had half a ream of vellum paper left over after we made our programs. I bought the sheet music for our song and copied it onto the vellum. Then I cut them into the shape of a fan with scalloped edges around the top. It was shaped justlike the doily cups. It was a little more time consuming but a little more personal too. Using vellum I was able to use transparent tape and it was invisible. They came out really pretty.

ROSE CONES

I WAS TOLD NOT TO DO THEM BECAUSE THEY DON'T WORK THAT WELL, BUT I LOVE THE WAY THEY LOOK AND I WANT TO DO THEM. SO ANYONE THAT HAS USED THEM DO THEY WORK?

Anyone Make Cones for Rose Petals?

Thanks for all your suggestions. My family and I had a post-Easter-dinner cone-making party last night. We got large doilies (10.5 inches, I think), cut them in half, and used Elmer's glue to hold them in their cone shape. They looked really pretty! We'll take a look today to make sure they're still sticking together...
