I know this was brought up before but thought I'd ask again with all the new girls....Is everyone staying on LI after the wedding?
So for those moving, do you have a life set up elsewhere already? How long are you waiting after the wedding? Where will you be moving to?

I'll be moving from one part of Queens to another.
In a few years, we'd like to buy a house. I was not feelin' Long Island - no offense to anyone; I had never ventured out too much - but then FH took me on a nice drive out there and I fell in love with some of the areas. So it's not out of the question, though we also like areas of upstate and :gasp!: Jersey.
If it were up to me and only me, we'd be moving to Seattle or Portland, Oregon.

We will be moving into an apartment (when we find one) after the wedding somewhere in the beginning of li......New Hyde Park, Williston Park, that area....
We will be buying a house on LI when we are ready....not a far move for me, I was born and live in Plainview. FH is from BK so it is a big adjustment for him but he loves the yard, schools, property and PARKING SPACE on LI!!

What part of Jersey?? i think FH and i are moving to hoboken soon.

I want to move so bad, but I never will. I don't want to be so far away from my family and friends, and also being alone in a new town kinda scares me.

i agree. FH and I will prob stay on LI. He does not want to move. My cousin moved to the houston area and is trying to convince me to move down there as well. You can get a HUGE house there for 250k, it makes me so jealous LOL but at the same time i would be sad to be so far away from my family here

I will be moving to Florida. We already have a place down there. FH is there already. I recently graduated from college so I will be starting a new career down there. I plan on being a teacher. I will prob quit my job the week before the wedding and move the week after my wedding. We are already set up down there so that won't be a problem.

i live in manhattan now...after the wedding fh and i are going to be saving for a house but we don't know where yet...it will depend on our job situations. It could be long island, westchester, or northern jersey.

Where in FL? We have friends and family is the West Palm area and are looking to move around that area. DH should be able to find a job rather quickly thanks to our friends, I'm just worried about me finding one. Hoping to save up at least 10,000 before we move just to be safe. Figure we'll rent a house for 3 years then look to buy once we know the area we want to settle into. DH wants to do an apartment but don't think it would be fair to our dog....she loves hanging out in the yard.
